I have all the patience in the world with seeding and transplanting, and believe me when I say it’s not something everyone can do! I love to have the kids come visit, and I love kids, but if I had to be around that many all day—they’d all be duct taped and in a closet somewhere! LOL
I have the utmost respect for anyone who works with kids.
A blessed and happy birthday, Pandy.
Happy birthday, Pandy! Pandora has always been one of my favorite literary characters—such curiosity, and such a decision, but she redeemed herself.
I think I like her so much because I’ve always had such an overabundance of curiosity! LOL
OOPSIE!! Sorry , Pandy. 743 should have been to you—can you tell it’s been a lllooonnnnggg day?! LOL
LOL! Well, this gal is definitely no beauty queen....even on a GOOD day. ;-)
We were very blessed to have the opportunity to attend the International Rotary Convention there in 2003. My husband was president that year and we went as representatives from our Rotary district. It was a trip of a lifetime and I'd love to go back, but I doubt I will be able to.
I will tell you that is ONE LONG flight from Los Angeles....over 12 hours to get to Sydney. I love to fly, but that was a little much, even for me.
When I am around several kids, they make me nervous and frustrated.
Well ..... sometimes one makes me nervous and frustrated. :^ )
I enjoy our mockingbirds. They annoy some people because they are so loud, but I love creative song. We had one that would mimic the sound of our lab's squeaky toy in the backyard. LOL.
Time to fix dinner. Have a nice evening, everyone.
Definitely don’t think I could deal with being on a plane for 12 hours—not even to see Aus.—longer for me—I’m on the east coast!
My boss still thinks I’m crazy—he thinks that anyway, but in a good way! :)
I was at work about 5:30 one morning, pinching the mums. Trying to get it done before it got hot and customers started coming in. Can’t deal with heat, and this was mid-July. I’m sitting on a milk crate, everything totally peaceful around me, pinching mums. Suddenly I hear—Hello, pretty bird, and a whole series of whistles that a parakeet would do. I look around—there’s no one and nothing. Okay, maybe I’m still asleep. I keep pinching. I hear it again. I look around, scan the piece of woods and undergrowth that line one side of the store’s property. There’s a mockingbird! He sat there and repeated that over and over. I laughed until I couldn’t breathe. Of course he shut up when my boss came in, and he’s never done it since. Talk about Michigan J Frog! LOL
Thanks!
**nervous and frustrated**
Like I said—I love kids. That said, I oculd never be a teacher. LOL
I laughed so hard the other day when you were telling us about Marissa’s questions. They never ask those things when we’re prepared, or at least expecting something like that! It’s always out of the blue and you’re going...um.. well...yeah. You always think of something wise to say after the fact!
Thank you ! And Happy Birthday to Lonestar!
Thanks!
