I am enjoying the poetry and beautiful graphics!
I have this blooming so I put out my hummingbird feeder this week...hoping
they would be drawn in..I saw my first hummingbird feeding today! I had
none at all last year so this is a welcome sight.

That is a beautiful picture, Meg! I love spring, and the fragrance of all natures blossoms.

Here in AZ, a hummer has been here all winter. As long as it was feeding, all the books said to keep fresh syrup out for it. (I guess there are some that don’t migrate, whether they are ill or too old or just plain lazy. LOL!)

Beautiful, Meg. I love Dogwood trees. I have a spot for another tree and have considered a white Dogwood but I may go for the Crepe Myrtle.

My Redbud is losing it’s blossoms. It seems that it bloomed for a longer period this year. I wish it would bloom for another month. :)

Thanks, yorkie..Me,too.
My daughter in the Houston area has had one hummingbird overwinter before and kept fresh syrup for it..She is on a migration path and I have seen dozens at once..I spent a lot of time making syrup for them when visiting during migration time.
What a sight they were! I just hope for one or 2 here in central Texas.
I have a beautiful picture of an AZ hummingbird. I will find it and post it.. I have Ruby Throated Hummingbirds here..when I can lure them.

Sorry I had to post and run earlier. Yes, that is it, Yorkie!! There are a couple of these white Bird of Paradise growing in front of where I live; they are as big as trees. The bloom is 3-4 times the size of the golden-orange Bird of Paradise.

When the weather is tropical, these plants take on a luminous quality... hard to explain, it’s kind of magical. Directly in front of my window, a few yards down is a pink hibiscus, not in bloom right now.

You must live in a beautiful area, 'Dita! I know Fish Hawk does, too! (Well, I don't know but I have never seen any pictures of Hawaii that weren't breathtakingly beautiful.)

Well, thank you kindly for viewing my profile page, Fish Hawk. Please don’t blush but you’ve always been one of my favorite FReepers...:)

Nice saying from St. Francis; I keep his well-known “Simple Prayer” on my desk. He is a lovely saint.

Well, it’s not THAT beautiful. I just notice things that make it sound beautiful and don’t mention the urban density, the asphalt and the horrible traffic. L.A. has more trees, plant life and greenery than some would expect and the growing is easy.

Lemons and lilacs side by side, that’s a great picture, Mama Bear:). I’m just guessing yours might be Eureka lemons? A friend of mine gave me 6 of her Meyer lemons recently and I so enjoyed them.

Walking, I pass by an orange tree that is now in bloom and that is one of the loveliest fragrances in the world. Another friend has ripe oranges on her tree; not sure why they are coming along at different times.

Citrus seems to be having a good year here.

Goodness, that sounds soooooooo good! I love Chicken Cordon Bleu but never have made it, only eaten in restaurants. I like the idea of the sauce!

I am just now getting to review everyone’s pretty pictures and I have enjoyed each and every one of them. I have had the blahs today...its rained for two days in a row and just gloomy and sometimes it affects my moods, I guess! Does anyone ever have these days?
