Thanks, yorkie--although I have to admit, at first glance--since some things don't photograph too well, I was wondering: Did I eat it, or am I going to? LOL!

Thank you, KItty Mittens.
Isn’t the little girl saying her bedtime prayers precious?
Thank you for the beautiful flower graphic. We wish you a beautiful day also.

We finally saw our first pair of scrub jays. We’ve had to put Mr Mittens in Time Out.
He has found an easy way to hunt. :^ (
He had a baby Jay and one of the parents was attacking him. I made him drop it and I locked him in the garage.
I have no idea where the nest is so we just put the baby under the redwood trees.
Mr Mittens has all the birds excited. WE have a yard full of screeching scrub jays, mockingbirds and sparrows.
Mr Mittens was upset when I closed the garage door. He is now crying to go out.
Bad Kitty ... Bad Kitty!

I sure wish I had your expertise to put together the slides-and-music mix. I can only contribute alternate spellings for “cell” and “beautiful” fully cognizant that the English and Americans are divided by a common language and that occasionally each can do funny things with their letters:

I have never had a cat bring me”gifts” but my neighbor’s cat left a cardinal by her pillow..Perhaps the adult bird attacks will discourage Kitty Mittens..He probably survived earlier with hunting.
I watched a neighborhood cat slink past my patio, bird in mouth earlier this spring.
I love birds and cats..and cats will be cats. Hope he connects loss of outdoor access with bird catching..Good luck.

I don’t know if we can change him. Cats are basically hunters and he thinks he is doing great.
If he were catcing adult birds, I wouldn’t mind as much but ..... I hate the thought of him taking the babies out of their nests.
It just doesn’t seem sporting! ;^ )

The cat is just being a cat. That's why I don't have one. If you let them roam, they kill the baby rabbits and birds and turkeys. If you keep them in the house, they need a cat box, which I won't have. Therefore, we have dogs.

Thanks, Carolyn.
I know ... a cat is a cat. My granddaughter wanted a kitten so we now have a cat. My hubby insists no cats in the house so Mr Kitty Mittens only comes in for a short time once or twice a day.
We also have two dogs.
BTW .....
To Amy's Place!!
Hope you come back again.

My dear departed Purty was a rescue and she was a great huntress..She had mostly settled into domesticated bliss and was older when I talked my daughter into letting me have her..You are right..It is a born instinct with a cat...

Last night there was a dead field mouse in his water bowl. I’m assuming he caught it in the garage. I have no idea why he put it in the water. He thought it needed a bath? ; )
