Memories! I remember the first time I went on that drive, back in the '60s, thinking it's the ultimate place on earth to live. We had great times driving up the coast, taking the scenic route and taking our time.
Of course, the last time I saw Carmel, it looked like a giant parking lot and we needed to get OUT of there for some peace and quiet. *Sigh*.
Thank you for the link.
It was lovely.
I have come to the same conclusion as you, most reluctantly, and now it is “Que sera, sera!!”
Just Saying Hello to you, seoul62...:)
I think ‘swipe’ is the word you’re looking for...;^)
And who hasn’t?
In fact, I’ve used this over a few years and haven’t seen anyone else use it, so be my guest.
P.S. I usually swipe only from my closest friends...LOLOL!!
You are right. It is pretty much out of our hands. I am trying to keep a positive attitude, but it isn't easy.
Thank you for this lovely presentation.
I had to reboot before I could open the file .... it was worth it!!!
Thank you, for the warm welcome to the group. To you and your family have a lovely weekend./Just Asking - seoul62.......

Well, the place is almost spotless! (I hate not being able to go barefoot, with no make-up and my hair not ‘fixed’.)
But, it will be nice and presentable - and as soon as they leave, I’m placing newspapers and magazines all over the room. And, leaving two day old coffee cups sitting on the tables. (Just kidding. LOL!)
Thank you, Sweet Amy! Doggie is Like a Bundle of Love Walking Around on 4 Legs, just the Sweetest Thing. I'm Looking Forward to the Pics of Mr. Mittens you are Planning to Post in the Next Few Days. : )
I had a Terrible Experience about an Hour Ago; I was Gone Much of Today, and on my Drive Home I Ran Over a Bunny that was Crossing the Street. :( That's the First Bunny I've ever Hit, and it All Happened So Fast I didn't Even have Time to React. :( When I Got Home, Doggie was Overjoyed to See me, so that Cheered me Up, but I'm just So Sorry I Caused the Death of that Sweet Little Bunny. :( :( :(
LOL
I had company so I didn’t even start the wild goose chase.
I thought the picture I posted today looked unreal. It is beautiful.
It is awful to hit anything.
Over the years, I’ve ran over dogs, kitties, rabbits and a snake or two. It is never a pleasant experience.
Doggie will give you lots of enjoyment. They give unconditional love.

In 1967, American vocalist Aretha Franklin topped the charts with her hit single "Respect." The song became an inspirational anthem for the civil rights movement and for others who demanded to be treated with respect.
Long before Aretha's hit record, Queen Vashti topped the Persian charts with her own version of "Respect." The book of Esther begins with King Ahasuerus hosting a great celebration. In addition to displaying his wealth and power, he also wanted to showcase his wife's beauty. So he commanded that Queen Vashti be brought before him and his guests.
If she obeyed, she would have allowed the king to degrade and dis-respect her. If she refused, she risked losing her life. She refused. What courage! Vashti didn't want to compromise her character by being reduced to a piece of property. Her desire for respect led to her banishment. We have no record that Vashti feared the Lord. But her courage shows that she understood the God-given dignity accorded to every human being.
God created us in His image and crowned us with glory and honor, having made us "a little lower than the angels" (Ps. 8:5). Out of love and reverence for Him, let us treat ourselves and others with honor, dignity, and respect.
