Good morning, yorkie.
I have company coming on Sunday and they live in CA at Seventeen Mile Drive. (Carmel) LOL - will they ever be SLUMMING!
Wow, that is some of the most beautiful and expensive real estate on the PLANET!! Hey, when they leave Carmel they will be slumming no matter where they go. LOL
I need to get some things done around here too. I've been having way too much fun on the computer lately, visiting and playing and taking photos of my jays and making graphics.

*sigh*. I didn't hear what he said, and it's just as well. I have been tuning out the news lately and I've about decided that I will just bury my head in the sand for the duration and let things play out as they will. I'll just stay here with my friends and remain happily oblivious. :-)
But, on the second thought, I can't give up Rush Limbaugh in the mornings......so I guess my plan is a bit flawed. LOL

Greece is on my list of places to visit someday.
This was like a delectable appetizer and the music was perfect! The sights and sounds will be replaying in my head all day, maybe even into tomorrow. Thank you, Cardhu. :-)

Good morning, FRiends.

I wish I could share the fragrance of my orange tree along with this photo. It is heavenly.
I will be away for awhile. Have errands to run and probably will stop by the garden center and see what trouble I can get into there. ;-)
Have a great day, everyone!

Friends, I am sure not a run-about but a friend just called and reminded me of a bridal shower I'm supposed to attend tonight so I must run and get a gift and go to the shower. Its for a very sweet girl at our church and the Women of the Church are giving it and (I are one~~LOL~~). Would prefer to stay home but it will bug me if I don't participate! Have fun but save some for me! My little girl will be with you!

Lemon Zucchini Bread
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups shredded zucchini
3/4 cup white sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons lemon zest
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease an 8x4 inch loaf pan.
In a bowl, beat together the zucchini, sugar, egg, and oil.
In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder; stir in the cinnamon and lemon zest. Stir the flour mixture into the zucchini mixture just until blended. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
Bake 45 minutes in the preheated oven, until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove from heat, and cool about 10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

I'm in a quandry!
I am so far behing in ansering pings that I'm not sure where to start.
Since I probably need to reboot, I may opening two windows and start at both ends and hope to meet in the middle. ;^ )
After meeting friends for lunch yesterday, I still needed to stop at the Post Office and the bank. Best laid plans ... the school called to let me know that Marissa was kinda listless so she was resting in the office.
By the time I got there, she was back with her class but she looked tired. ( She got 10 hours sleep each of the prior two nights.)
Of course, she insisted she wasn't sick because she wanted to go to AWANA. I put her down on the sofa to watch cartoons until time for AWANA to start. This was the last meeting until the fall. She was her bouncy self the rest of the evening. Today she looks and acts fine so she is back in school.
We will be attending an awards ceremony for the 3rd quarter this afternoon. They sent a note saying she would be getting an award. She told us that she was going to get 3.
My guess is perfect attendance, citizenship and honor roll.
Anyway .... I hope everyone has a Fabulous FRiday!

Mom sang Art Mooney's Bluebird of Happiness to me for years growing up. She had seen her last bluebird and I never saw one till two years ago. Reminds me of Mom.
Now Eastern Bluebirds are making a great comeback.

I count five.
