Oh, it was no big deal - but sometimes the flowers up here in the desert are so beautiful they almost make me want to hold them forever. They are so different than the flowers in other parts of the country.

I’ve seen some of the desert wild flowers and they are very colorful. On the way to Vegas one year, we saw the cactus in bloom. What a beautiful sight!!

I just googled ‘cactus in bloom’ images. The pictures are incredible. Here’s a link to the common prickly pear cactus in bloom. Who would have ‘thunk’ that something covered in nasty thorns could produce such elegant beauty?

I didn’t know that sodium was needed for bone strength. I try to remember to talk calcium but forget it quite often.

I hope the ice cream makes up for the tablets that I miss. ;^ )

Our weather has turned cool again.
I send Marissa to school in short skirts for a couple of days,
then we have to switch back to long pants.

It won't be very many days before I'm complaining about the heat and the high A/C bills.
