Yes ... the museum is great.

We should take Marissa.

We may be planning another train trip this summer. After the Amtrak nightmare a couple of years ago, we may decide that the risk isn’t worth it.

Two years ago, our train arrived in Eugene 10 hours late. We could not find a room anywhere in the area. At 12:30am we got a rental car ... not the one we had reserved. At about 1:30, we found a Walmart and bought pillows and blankets so we could sleep in the car.

Marissa is the only one that got any sleep that night. ;^ )

I Spent Saturday Rearranging All the Contents of my Kitchen Cabinets and Shelves, Doing my Dusting, and Cleaned Out One Closet. For Some Reason, I have Trouble Keeping my Canned Goods Organized the Way I Like them, Lol; they Seem to be in Place only a Month or Two, and then they are Back to Being All Mixed Up. Oh, Well; at Least they are Nice and Neatly Organized Now! : )

What a horror story. I have never been delayed like that on a long trip, at least not in this country. But, I remember once on the train from L.A. to Santa Barbara, we were stalled for a couple of hours. We finally got the explanation: someone had tried to end it all by laying across the tracks.

I haven’t taken a train trip for awhile, but they do seem to have trouble staying on schedule. I don’t like it when they go really fast to try to catch up!!

Marissa probably thought your misadventure was “fun.”:)

Lol, I was Smiling at Both your Posts, my FRiends! I've Realized Something Today, as I was Looking Out the Window, Watching my Sweet Doggie at Play; I've Sure Missed Out on a Lot, not having a Dog for the Last 34 Years! I've had Kitties throughout those Years, but I'd Forgotten what Fun a Dog is! She is Full of Surprises. With Tears, I'm So Very, Very Grateful for this Gift from our Lord, and However Long He Grants that Doggie will be mine, my Heart is So Thankful!

Happy Earth Day
His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven. —Psalm 148:13

You don't have to tour Resurrection Bay in Alaska to appreciate the natural marvels of our earth, but it helps. You don't have to snorkel the warm waters of Jamaica to be impressed with the hidden beauty of our planet's seas, but it helps. You don't have to view the Rockies, experience the Rock of Gibraltar, or gaze at Mount Fuji to realize how awe-inspiring are the vistas of our globe, but it helps.

Experiencing firsthand the majesty of the mountains and the glory of the oceans can leave us breathless as we ponder how spectacular our big blue marble really is.

Today is Earth Day, a commemoration of our global home and a reminder of our responsibility to be careful stewards of this orb. But celebrating the greatness of our unique home among the planets can take on a dangerous slant if we leave out one key element. Contemplating the grandeur of earth should remind us that we are merely "the people of His pasture" (Ps. 95:7), and we must worship "our Maker" (v.6). The creation was flung into space to point to God and His greatness, power, and majesty. He alone deserves our praise and worship (Ps. 148:5). Thank You, Lord, for such an awe-inspiring reminder to worship You!

For Further Study
What does it mean to "have dominion" over the earth? (Gen. 1:26). Visit www.discoveryseries.org/q1108 on the Web and read Celebrating The Wonder Of Creation.

How foolish to worship the creation, when the Creator is so much greater.

Your post described me in ref. to cabinets. I recently straightened the canned good shelves and found many who had bad dates on them. I did rid the shelves of those and it was straightened pretty well. The other cabinets need the same. I had a big bag of bad date cans to throw away!

The closet is another story! Don’t do it often enough and do not get rid of things like I should. I am trying to change my ways! ;o)
