It took a while for me to receive the confirmation text. I’m not sure if that is indicative of the voting for DC or not...I have to say I am so sick of DA. I liked him in the beginning of the competition, but towards the middle, his saccharine performances wore thin. Quite frankly, it creeps me out how he breathes when he sings and when he talks. He sounds like his Adam’s apple is up by his uvula.
I think DC is the better performer and has an incredibly diverse range. I hardly ever buy new music, but I would buy DC’s in a heartbeat. I actually did purchase the “Billy Jean” performance off of itunes. That is huge for me as I don’t purchase anything very often.
I think the fix is in for DA, which is a shame.

I wasn't crazy about the last song, but I think its great that he didn't repeat, like so many do. And as far as Idol songs go, Cook's song was unique. Monchichi's was just the same old thing. Totally predictable and forgettable.

In any case, the Sony-BMG-19 people have already said they're signing both Davids. Good. David Cook said at the beginning of the show tonight that as far as he was concerned the competition was over.
He performed like he wanted to win though.
The judges were shameless with their pimping--well, not so much Paula. She was in her own world, LOL. But Randy and Simon were in the tank for the kid.
