David A belongs in the theatreWhile he was singing I realized how perfectly his voice would fit singing a song for 'Beauty and the Beast'. He'd be great at singing songs for Disney movies. Kind of a Peabo Bryson - type.

I'm on board with OCDC!! Up until tonight, I didn't care who won. It's just goofy fun. But the judges really ticked me off with their over the top pimping of the Monch.
I'm motivated, and I've got Cook's # on speed dial! ;)

David Cook
1-866-43567-05 or 1-866-idols-05 is one of his numbers, so he must have the odd #'s.

I've been pulling for David Cook since I first heard him in this competition. He is a powerful singer with an enormous stylistic range, terrific stage presence, and a whole lot of soul. The songs he performed tonight did not entirely capture his essence as a performer (although, in spite of what Simon Cowell said, I thought the last one came close).
The problem for him is that he was up against a young man, Mr. Archuletta, whose voice has a stunning purity and emotional depth that belies his years. His technical command tonight was also better than on any other night I have seen him and for those reasons, I think he will win.

Well that was a totally underwhelming final. The two best songs were the Clive Davis selections, and then it went downhill fast, and ended with a an Archie SNOOZEFEST.
1 (tie). David Cook - I Still Haven't Found what I'm Looking For - Excellent choice by Clive, and a wonderful Performance by Cookie.
1 (tie). David Archuleta - Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me - Possibly Archie's best performance of the year, and a Tie with Cook for best of the night.
3. David Cook - The World I Know - Absolutely Beautiful understated vocal by Cookie. great song, but he should have chosen a ROCKER in this slot.
4. David Cook - Dream Big - Cookie salvaged what he could from this dog of a song. Absolutely inane lyrics, but I did like the beat and grunge vibe David gave it.
5. David Archuleta - Imagine - Imagine this song ending, it is going way too long. I think my ears are bleeding, from this dumbass song. Archie took a slow balled, and SLOWED IT DOWN EVEN MORE. BLECH.
6. David Archuleta - In This Moment - ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!! Huh, wha.... Sleep inducing suckage of a song.
Round One, the Clive Davis picks I had a tie, but Round Two and three go to David Cook mainly because I was at least able to stay awake during his performances.
Oh, for the days of Ruben vs Clay or Carrie vs Bo... Because this "heavyweight" bout was a DOG!

I dont watch Nickelodeon, so fortunately, Ill never really see much more of Monchichis career.Just to give you the 'pulse on America' my three-year-old grandson is watching with me. He looked at David A. and said "I like him!" lol. (then Reuben came on and he said, "I don't like that guy, he's icky")
