That was funny!! How sad to watch the great Phil Hartman in that scene as Bill Clinton and know that it was another jealous woman who put an end to him.

The suspense is killing me (she says, laughing). LOL! Hey you never know--there might be an Ashley Ferl curveball with the results tonight. I hope not though :)

I really didnt like when you capitalized Kitty in that sentence.Yeah, I was trying to figure out a way to say it without going overboard. Let's face it, no matter what we do in life we don't just have to deal with Kitties we have to "contend" with them!
Think about it, has there ever been a cat in your life where you couldn't just take a nice moment, without having to contend some srange way with the kitty!? Not me! It's the only reference I could think of that perfectly fit that.....Meow.

You’re right; I was not just responding to you in particular. I was thinking that everyone’s negative about him due to his physical characteristics around here. My brush was too broad, so I am sorry.
You are right: he can and will turn everything into a soulful/syrupy ballad. I am not sure he has been shown or been allowed to develop his own style, or maybe that IS his own style. Certainly there are always performers who never get contemporary. Buster Poindexter and one other guy whose name I am forgetting come to mind. Barry Manilow is not hypercurrent either. Maybe Monchichi will be like that. Maybe he’d be a great Vegas crooner and make a fortune.
But take a song and sing it well, he really can.

Remember last week when she judged Jason's second song before he had even sung it? Reading from her “rehearsal notes” (aka script) she said she meant to critique David C. and then got all confused as only Paula can do. So Jason heard her negative review of a song he hadn't sung yet, he went on and sang his heart out. Soooooo...since all the blogs and forums were buzzing over Paulagate (is Idol scripted because Paula wasn't even at the rehearsals???), they had to keep Jason on the show to quiet the angry fans. Notice they put him in “safety” first, too.

Color me weird and a cynic, but I thought the song about change, plus all the waterworks and drama over the song and civil rights, were designed to subtly support Barack Obama. I was with Syesha right up until she mentioned civil rights. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but you're right--that and the song about "change" on the same day as a primary ... She dropped a couple of points for me.

But take a song and sing it well, he really canI agree. Usually when I turn on Idol I am doing homework or typing and not watching when the contestants sing. It makes such a difference when you're not visually influenced. And David A. has a very, very good voice.

Live at the Leeds" has always been my favorite Who album. I love their version of "Young Man Blues" and the way Pete Townshend really roams around guitar wise on that 15min version of "My Generation" is super.I've got boots up the wazoo of the Who live and every song is played differently in eacj boot, and ALL of it's good!
They do this version of The Naked Eye which almost boarders on the realm of perfection. It wasn't with Moon, but Jones, and the song stood solid as a rock! Moon could sometimes get in the way of the song and you can recognize it in some of these live versions. Other times he was spectacular!

I took that to mean that Syesha researched the song and it meant more to her because of that. In reference to herself, I thought she was saying that a change had come into her life (a long time coming) due to American Idol and her success. A dream fufilled.

Barry Manilow is not hypercurrent either. But, there was a time in his life that he was current. He wasn't always a Vegas performer.

Do you think that someone that worked hard and did remember their lyrics should leave instead of him? It's a pretty straight up question, yes or no. Possibly. If Obama works really hard at getting elected, and says all the politically correct things, I still won't vote for him because I don't like his soul.
Regardless, I don't care who wins this season. I wouldn't buy an album by any of them, especially if 19 Entertainment and Clive Davis are at the helm.

That's what she was saying and how I took it as well. She shouldn't have worked so hard, it isn't fair to the others that don't want to work hard.

Could you elaborate on that? I’m not quite sure what you’re saying.
