Live at the Leeds" has always been my favorite Who album. I love their version of "Young Man Blues" and the way Pete Townshend really roams around guitar wise on that 15min version of "My Generation" is super.I've got boots up the wazoo of the Who live and every song is played differently in eacj boot, and ALL of it's good!
They do this version of The Naked Eye which almost boarders on the realm of perfection. It wasn't with Moon, but Jones, and the song stood solid as a rock! Moon could sometimes get in the way of the song and you can recognize it in some of these live versions. Other times he was spectacular!
Hey that is what I love about live boots is you get a captured show when the band is really in the zone and get a super priceless moment of sonic tapestry that you will never forget. There are some Who, Led Zeppelin, ZZ-Top, Blue Oyster Cult, George Thorogood, and Black Crowes boots with some improvised long jams that will live a person speechless and astounded. Those are just a few.
Err not that I would own or buy such recordings. (Disclaimer if a RIAA person is reading this thread.)
