On my 15th birthday, we got kicked out of Pizza Hut because my Mom got into an ice fight with our Pastor’s wife who had come in to have dinner with another lady from the church.
After that one, I don’t think anyone would be surprised that I can’t remember my 16th birthday party real well.

beatnik parents — wow, that reminede me why I like Jason, he reminds me of the guys singing in the beatnik joint I spent a lot of time in, course they didn’t have hair like his

But I totally agree. I dont even remember what I did for my 16th birthday. Im sure I got together with my friends and we all hung out and probably watched movies and ate too much. There was no formal wear involved. I do. It was middle of January and the folks left til midnight. We had booze and several people passed out in the yard by 10pm! lol Mom knew something was up when she got home because in her words, the house was cleaner when she got home tha nwhen she left! Dead give awawy! LOL

Cuneiform can be hard to read at a certain age.

And whats with Ben mouthing off about Mat, hes every bit as bad as Mat Agreed. I was surprised that he didn't send Roseann packing though, that was two weeks in a row that she should have left.

Popped over to another Idol forum and the general thought is the same—enough already with the three judges pimping for David A.! A lot think that Dreads said the heck with it, I'll be who I am—they're gonna trash me anyway. And NOBODY liked the tearful pandering performance of Syesha—this could backfire bigtime on her. Just reporting (while I vote for Dreads).

Baba OReily What the heck is this song?Rent the movie, "The Kids Are Alright - The Who." It's really a great song and it's where the power chord was really discovered! Along with the windmill!

If they thought Syesha was pandering then they weren’t being honest.

Well, all I know is that I want to have plenty of golden years. I want every speaker at my 3 hour long, televised state funeral to start with “Man, he was old!”
And if I continue to behave as I am, no one will ever be able to detect when I go senile.
I’m planning ahead.
To: Netizen
I think she was pandering, too...since when do the Idols go into a long discourse on the meaning of their songs in tears? I can see “I miss my grandmother” but civil rights and change???

Civil rights song for Syesha...Obamas booking her now for the convention. I had the exact same thought. She'll be on tour then so she probably won't be able to make it :)

And sadly, 100% true. That incident is even memorialized in the “Remember when...” portion of my senior year Yearbook.
To: silent_jonny
Or perhaps Paula just wants him to try on a few of her wigs..I cant help but get a visual of Paula, looped out of her skull (pun intended) some night.........wig flies off, and there she is...with that little do-rag on her head that resembles on and old nylon stocking. WHich, on the other hand, MAY be a good look for David Cook....he can do something from the Yarmulka Years
To: peggybac
Wheres our new resident critic? She won't grace us with her presence until tomorrow night, I think. That was her threat anyway :-/

She lost it when Paula mentioned her dreams coming true, too. Then when Simon cbimed in and agreed with Paula against Randy she lost it again and talked about how she researched the history of the song. Since she is black, I believe her when she said it meant a lot to her. I really doubt she was pandering for votes. At least she doesn’t cry every week like that last one that left.
