Relax. Actually, it happened in Jamaica, so it has nothing to do with our politics. Relax? Relax yourself. Connecting anything to our politics is a bit of a stretch. *I* was referring to the year where the young man auditioned that song by singing that one line over and over and over again. It's an obscure reference, so here is the YouTube video to assist your relaxation.

When did this whole gigantic sweet 16 party junk start? My coworker was going to take her daughter and one or two of her friends on a trip to NYC for her sweet 16. Her daughter said no, because if she couldn’t have the big party with all the frills she didn’t want anything. My coworker said, “Good! Less I have to spend!” LOL

Sweet 16 parties and prom night have become outrageously expensive, thank goodness I have no more teenagers

Maroon 5 and Bo Bice tomorrow night.
I might be lateish. I’m going to start volunteering at an animal shelter and the next orientation is tomorrow. But I might wait to go to the one over the weekend. I haven’t decided yet.

Back when I was a kid (and seriously, it wasn’t all that long ago, was it? Let’s see, 20th high school reunion letter. Yep, have to go kill myself later.)
Anyway, when I was a kid, we would get a “party” with 6 to 10 other kids, 4 or 5 large pizzas, 2 or 3 movies a cake and the parents out of the house until midnight.
What, $50 back then?
Good grief. These little spoiled princesses are going to crap a brick when they find out that they have to cover for Jose at the drive through when he needs a smoke break, aren’t they?

Exactly right. Jonny, I really don't get why the judges are so over the top for Archuletta. I absolutely cannot see him doing pop, pop/rock, urban/r&b, Broadway, or even Latin music. I just don't know where he fits. As we've all observed over the years you've kindly done this thread, there's more to talent than just a nice singing voice.

One of the things that I like about Hell’s Kitchen is that Ramsey gets the final say on who leaves.

Ugh....my 15 year just passed. I know the feeling.
But I totally agree. I don’t even remember what I did for my 16th birthday. I’m sure I got together with my friends and we all hung out and probably watched movies and ate too much. There was no formal wear involved.
