I wanna be...
You got it!
This same poster came off at me like that, hurling a bunch of unprovoked insults on some thread over a month ago.
By the way, I'm loving some of your comments. ;-)
Yeah, I’ve heard that is that persons MO.
I said WOOT, baby!
One thing you might learn as you get older, it's rude to talk behind someone's back, especially with such vague comments.
Isn't it heartrending when you get attacked when you're so innocently posting. People must make up things to attack such a wonderful person as yourself. But hey, great button. How about one of a big hand, so we can post to it.
And retrokitten, I've heard all about you too, Luv! Better yet I've seen you in action. Death by innuendo. Pathetic!
and you left off the Jo.
If I’m ignoring you, why are you responding to me?
Because you don’t mind picking a fight, you just don’t like getting slapped down.
You are a coward and a liar. You said if I left you alone, you wouldn’t respond.
I signal my intent to do so, and you come back with yet another comment.
So here it is. You will not be left alone. You have declared a flame war and you will lose.
You own hand has brought this action to bear.
You have sown discontent and bitterness, and you will reap it. I’m sure that your husband, children and grandchildren would love to know how you behave.
Or maybe they already do and that is why you will once again have a disappointing Mother’s Day.
Maybe your behavior of them is why you feel disconnected and distant from those who you love the most.
That is why you have to vent your frustrations of your own feelings of failure at anonymous people on the internet.
When was the last time you looked around your house and felt really happy and content? Bet it’s been a while.
So why don’t you go try to fix your own unhappy life before trying to spread your unhappiness to others.
I am going to set an example for the late posters. Bye. You have my permission to accuse me, name call, guilt by innuendo, and generally do what you’ve been doing. See you next week for the Jason implosion. Resume: Group Hug positions.
Well, so much for your sense of humor. You just can’t stop the name calling and accusing even for a break and humorous comment. You can’t make up with someone who’s on pins and needles at even an attempt at humor. Sorry it came across that way to you. I’ll know better next time. Bye.
LMAO!! Heard what?? I hardly post anywhere but this thread.
Sorry you find being a jerk funny. I don’t.
You come here and stir up trouble then expect people to be all jokesy with you? Please.
You can win friends with humor, even sharp edged humor. but you were being plain insulting, over and over again. And you got all huffy and insulted when people told you to knock it off.
You sowed this response to you from so many posters, and you have reaped it.
There are two things in this world you can not buy: time and a good name.
You have wasted time and you have destroyed your good name. It will take real effort on your part to repair it, not a couple of jokes.
One thing you might learn as you get older, it's rude to talk behind someone's back, especially with such vague comments.
Like how you didn't ping Miss Didi earlier? Again, the rules of politeness apply to everyone, but you.
Dang, this button comes in handy! :-D
First, 'raine, I'd like to welcome you to our happy little corner of Free Republic. We are a certifiable melting pot of backgrounds and personalities with one thing in common besides our FReeperness: We love this cheese-fest of a show! Some of us love to love it, others love to hate it, but we all can't stop watching. You bring yet another unique perspective to this thread, as someone knowledgeable of vocal technique. Personally, I'm curious as to your training and if you are currently singing.
I am concerned, however, that you may be having some trouble adjusting to the etiquette on this thread. You see, the vast majority of us have little or no formal vocal training. If you heard me at a karaoke bar, you would swear I could peel paint. Also, my opinion is that AI is a reality television show, rather than a legit singing competition. The producers of this show picked 24 aspiring popstars with decent voices - who also have what they believe to have compelling storylines and personalities.
Since most of us are not purveyors of fine vocal talent (At times, I feel likewise about the judges), we base our opinions of the contestants on other factors. We all have our favorites and we're cool with different opinions. Usually, we're posting funny pictures or engaging each other with some kind of witty banter without being overtly snide and condescending.
I apologize for taking up so much space, but perhaps I could recommend something that worked for me previously. It could be helpful in communicating more effectively not only on this thread, but on the other fine topics covered on FR...
I can tell you personally, that reading that book made a big difference in my outlook on life and my interactions with others. Again, sorry for the long post! See you next week, take care and may God bless you! :)
Okay, we have to stop. Just reading that you are crying is making me cry. We are such girls! LOL
It was the “Glory, glory, hallelujah!” that got to me. (sniff)
