The judges appear to have been in the tank for him from the outset. It's a shame, too, because Monchichi's talent is a yard wide and a quarter-inch deep.

David Cook was a surprise to them, and I think they expected more out of Carly. At least that's my take on this season so far. I actually disagree with the conventional wisdom about this season. I think the talent level has been pretty low.

Paula was in rare form earlier. I was just cracking up on my couch watching her rambling to Dirty Dreadlock Dude about his two songs, and how he didn’t do well enough to go on.

For me:

Jason: Song one: Neeeext! Song two: Is this still song one?

David C: Song one: OK. Not my favorite performance of his, but still good. Song two: LOVED it! That was fantastic!

Brooke: Song one: P.U. Get the hook! Song two: Much better, but she really needs to shine because she is definitely a goner otherwise.

Monchichi: Song one: Pretty good. He kept the lip-licking under control, though I could sense he was so very parched. Song two: That little devil snuck out a coupla times. He must’ve forgot the chapstick. OH! We weren’t judging his lip-licking willpower? Nevermind.

Syesha: She looks lovely tonight. Song one: I liked it. She sounded very good. Song two: Not as good as one, but she looked like she was having a great time.

Who’s in the crapper: Brooke and Dreads. If the bottom three thing is still going, Syesha will be in it, but not the bottom. I don’t know if the girly-girls can save Dreads this week, but I think Brooke is about done. I really like her, but her singing really isn’t that great. When I close my eyes and listen, I sometimes cringe, and that first song was a stinker.

Won the night: David Cook, hands down. That second song ROCKED! And, yes, Chris Daughtry was my fave two years ago.

The show was sooooooo fast I feel dizzy! They are going to have to do some major spinning for Pauler's big goof...so is the show scripted??? Dreads’ fans should be fuming.

This is the first season I’ve watched it. I can’t believe I didn’t watch it before now. But there are a lot of unlikable people on it. LOL

Gordon Ramsey seems like he can be quite charming talking one-on-one and not screaming. Maybe it’s just the English accent and how he calls all the girl “love.” LOL
