I think Kristy did the best tonight by far.
Sings the Carole King/James Taylor song "You've Got A Friend"
Monchichi's piano remains on stage, but someone else is playing it as Brooke stands singing at the microphone. Good performance.
Brooke puts one her kindergarten teacher's face as she listens to the judges.
Randy: I didn't think it was your best performance. Wasn't jumping up and down. It was a'ight.
Paula: One of my favorite songs. Perfect way to end the evening.
Simon: Like a pleasant walk in the park. It was nice. Was it original? No. Was it pleasant? Yes.
Well, I loved her and just got 10 votes in so far. ;)
Kristi and Monchichi (as much as that pains me to type) were my two favs tonight.
My ranking for tonight:
Kristy Lee best of the night. Would make Martina proud!
David Cook Not on his game but ya gotta love this guy
Brooke Nice vocal but I wish she played guitar or piano
Monchichi I have to admit hes got a good voice
Michael Aussie Very Karaoke but hes still in it.
Syeesha Dont sing Fantasia
Castro Good Lord! Tiny Tims back from the grave! Tiptoe through the dread locks.
Carly Lots of really bad notes. Bad song choice. Feral cats are hiding!
Who should go: Carly or Castro
Who will go: Syeesha or Carly
Syesha sings Fantasia. In what universe does that work? ZZZZZzzzzz But I will say that I liked it better than Fantasia's. So I guess that's something.
Jason. He surely does have pretty blue eyes. And I do love this arrangement - I've heard the original several times. It always makes me smile This was good. This was really good.
Kristy Lee is getting smart - playing to her strength with a country tune. It was just ok. I think she's out to distract Paula with all the sequins. Ooooo! Sparkles!
David Cook is sprouting some scruffy on his chin. He took a risk with a less familiar song. It didn't work. And that jacket was so... strange. But boy he did look sullen taking his lumps.
Tattoo. Oooooo, giving us the serious angry face. Is that a bodice or a swimsuit? Weird. I guess it's is official, high-waisted jeans are back. What a shame. The performance was ok. But not my cuppa ti.
Monchichi. Wow. Monchichi can pound out four chords to a measure. That's talent. Not bad. I hate that it's one of the better performances of the evening.
Brooke. I've said it previously, but the girl 1) needs a meal and 2) needs to start shopping at grown-up stores. A smock that looks cute on a toddler girl does nothing for a woman except look stupid. In fact, its so ridiculous that The Office has made a running gag out of a character who shops at American Girl stores *just* because her teeny tiny body fits in the children's clothes. So, I'm going to start calling her Angela. The song? ZZZZZzzzzzz.
No one was great. No one stood out. Top 3 in no particular order because it pains me so: Jason, Syesha, and Monchichi. Followed closely by Brooke - I mean, Angela.
Bottom 3: Tattoo, Cook, and Kristy Lee. Going home - I'm gonna be bold and say Hotness because I realized while writing this up that I had completely forgotten about him.
Maybe not. I ASSumed. I haven't been keeping up, homework and classes, blah blah blah.
OMG. SIX THIRTY start time????
She just better not be in the bottom 3.
America got that so wrong last week...
Goodnight all...
LOL!!
I wish Brooke had played the piano, too. Now I can’t get through...it’s always busy.
??
I didn't think it was all that good either. Certainly not worthy of the "blazing molten hot" that Randy gave it.
Tomorrow they start at 7:30 PM EST/6:30 PM CST.
Brooke’s wounded puppy act is getting tiresome.
Don’t forget. 1-866-IDOLS 04
Keep Kristy in it!
I LOVE DWTS and Hells Kitchen....on at the same time...sigh
