Thank you for the eyewitness report from the Theater. It’s so interesting to learn how a big production is put together.

Jason needs to go way before Syesha. He’s cute, but all of his songs sound the same.

"Something about them Bama men...."

Yep...Bama men are the best. :)

Hubby told me about Sara Evans and Jay Barker. I hear they are both good people.

149 days to kickoff!! And A-Day (still free, unlike that other school) is right around the corner!

"According to TVGuide.com, the Clark Brothers will also be performing on tonight's show. "

We were just wondering the other day what happened to them! We were following them on that other show and then either we got distracted or the show was cancelled. I reeaaally like the Clark Bros.

http://www.realitytvworld.com/news/ellen-degeneres-wont-return-as-idol-gives-back-co-host-after-all-6862.php

“We’ve got a lot of co-hosts,” Lythgoe told reporters about this year’s plan. “There’s a lot of stars [that are] gonna be coming on that stage, so it isn’t like last year. You know, there’s a lot of really good people coming on that stage to introduce people.”

Maroon 5, Heart, Gloria Estefan and Boyz II Men are all scheduled to perform at the charity event.

In addition, Bono, Brad Pitt, Reese Witherspoon, Miley Cyrus, Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, Mariah Carey, Fergie, Chris Daughtry, Carrie Underwood, Annie Lennox, John Legend, Snoop Dogg, Fantasia Barrino, Elliott Yamin, Robin Williams, Celine Dion, Forest Whitaker, Billy Crystal, Dane Cook, Kiefer Sutherland, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Jennifer Connolly, and Amy Adams have all been previously announced as participating.

Hmmm...I think they’re going to be voted off like this:

Kristy
Jason
Syesha
Carly
Brooke
Michael
David Cook

David Archuleta wins.

I guess next week is mariah Carey week.

http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1584647/20080402/jordin_sparks.jhtml

But when pressed to go out on a limb and call this season’s champ, Sparks demurred but eventually spilled the beans.

“It’s going to be either David Archuleta or David Cook,” she predicted, before saying that she ultimately believes David Cook — who was hospitalized after Tuesday’s show — will be America’s next “Idol.”

And Sparks will get a chance to meet this year’s contenders when she returns to the “Idol” stage for the second “Idol Gives Back” charity event, airing April 9. But there’s someone Sparks is really looking forward to meeting next week — and it’s not a potential “Idol” but a bona fide one.

“I would die if I got to meet Mariah Carey,” she said, in reference to the scheduled “Idol Gives Back” performer.

I-screech-a (Syesha) should go next.

No way Archuleta will win. He is still a minor, and Stage Daddy must go everywhere the Monchichi goes. That could be a big headache for the producers.

I don’t think Jordin has any insider info. She’s just guessing, like the rest of us.

Mariah Carey and Idol Gives Back all in the same week?

Count me out. I will have other plans for next week.

Absolutely! I didn't mean to suggest otherwise.

‘Idol’ Tracker: Meet the circus master
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/showtracker/2008/04/idol-tracker-me.html

Even by the tumultuous standards of life in the Idoldome, Wednesday’s gathering for the ceremonial removal of Ramiele Malubay was circus-like beyond and above expectations. First the group rendition of “9 to 5” wandering into the crowd and onto Simon’s desk kicked the night off with a lively festival atmosphere. But quickly the mood pendulum swung the other way, as Brooke White, upon learning she was in the bottom three, broke into hysterical convulsions the minute the show went to break and had to be consoled by seemingly the entire production staff before she could take her place again.

Then, during the next break, someone in the mosh pit –- reportedly a young woman –- standing directly in front of the stools where Ramiele and Kristy Lee Cook awaited their fates collapsed. With two minutes to air, medics raced into the room, through the crowd and to the ailing victim. As the precious seconds until air time ticked by, the stricken woman finally managed to get to her feet and was helped out with just over a minute to air. And then finally, upon hearing her fate, Ramiele herself broke down completely. As her good-bye video aired, her fellow contestants and the crew huddled around to try and get her into shape for her looming good-bye song, which she managed to get through, before being assisted off stage herself.

And all of this happening live –- or just off camera –- before the largest weekly audience in television.

—end snip

Longish article but quite interesting and well written.

And I had free tickets to the Alan Jackson concert until the NCAA got involved in the whole thing and it got canx!!! I truly, truly believe the NCAA needs to be outlawed....they selectively punish schools and slap others on the wrist for far, far more serious things....can anyone say Reggie Bush and USC???

Can’t forget the upcoming Show Tunes week with Andrew Lloyd Webber...

This could very well be the Worst. Three. Weeks. Ever!

Better make that four weeks...

Perhaps this will be the week when the kids actually perform songs that were written during their lives... Or Monchichi doing a song that won't cure insomnia.
