We actually saw the ambulances initially come sometime around 12:30. Time ran a bit together hanging out forever in line, but everyone was theorizing if it was a DWTS person b/c of where in the lot it went (DWTS is basically next door to Idol on the CBS lot). The first came with sirens and the second from the other direction on Beverly but no sirens. When we went back to the second holding area, we could tell better where they were (they headed out shortly afterwards).

You’d not have known he didn’t feel well (although he, of all of them, definitely had a “too cool for school” air about him when they were all on stage together and before/after his performances).

We were surprised to read what had happened earlier this morning! And surprised they didn’t at least make him go to the hospital after the dress rehearsal since that IS taped and the film used anyway for the recaps...you’d think Idol wouldn’t want the responsibility. The DR was not long after the ambulances left, and he was the second to perform, so he could have gone soon after.

It was interesting watch the Live Show because they (other than Ramiele) were all VERY good this week at the DR and we were quite surprised. Sayesha was much better in the DR than the live show, and probably better in person than it sounded on TV. She got huge applause during the DR and was actually in tears afterwards. She wasn’t the best, but was very good...so fascinating to watch what aired (of course no one was thrilled she did the song...but she was much better than anyone would have guessed any of that group would have done with the song).

I didn't like it when they performed it in competition and still didn't like their version, so, you're not alone. I do however like them in other material that they played.

That was another thing that was interesting seeing her in person...we were stunned b/c we had all commented driving up that she has looked so harsh, and while her outfit still wasn’t great yesterday, she was actually a very pleasant and much softer looking young lady than she appears on TV. Even seeing her a few hours later when we actaully watched the show we all looked at one another in disbelief. Of all of them, TV does NOT do her any favors. She comes across much better in person! And as apparently people have commented about her weight (given her admitting to wearing spanx b/c of it last week) it was interesting seeing her in person in that regard, as well...she’s not a petite little thing like Brooke is (who is stick thing!) but she’s definitely not huge...it seems more due to clothes choices and for some reason the camera really just not doing her any justice. And trust me, that was NOT one of the people I expected to say that about before I went!

I’m anxious to see the show tonight to see this new look!

More results.

Up next to the stage is David Cook.

Seacrest asked him about the hospital.

David says it got blown out of proportion. "I'm okay."

He's also safe.

Rameiele is next. She seems to know what's coming.

Yep--she's the first member of the bottom three.

Then we have Kristy Lee Cook--she also seems prepared to be sent to the bottom.

She's right too.

Paula: I actually think Kristy had a good night.

Brooke, Castro and Syesha wait anxiously backstage.

Ramiken turns on the tears and seems to wear the strangest get ups, looks kind of chunky in that outfit

The Clark Brothers (who won The Next Great American Band last fall)

These various TV talent and reality shows are cross-pollinating like crazy these days. It's a whole new life path. You can start off on some kiddie talent show. Then you can grow up to meet your spouse on something like The Bachelor or the Bachelorette. Later, when the marriage fails, you can rat out your spouse on one of those Tell The Truth shows. You can try dancing, or business, or cooking on one of the shows designed to showcase that kind of talent. Or you can try your hand at a little exotic adventure on a show like Survivor. And before they roll you out to that great reality show in the sky, you can sit around chatting with Barbara Walters about which one of you is actually going to make it to 150.
