Present and accounted for!
Thanks 4 the ping, Jonny - nice Dolly pic...
I wonder if they fight over the songs.
I think the girl with the horse that she sold is going to sing that...Kristy?
I’ve been a Dolly fan since the late 60s when I lived in Sumter SC and she was on the Porter Wagoner Show on the TV channel from Columbia....and I thought this little girl did Jolene rather well....
Brooke: Dolly Parton. She's a tiny gal, but she's huge! (cough)
Brooke performs Jolene--perfect choice. She's not as glamorous as she was last week, playing acoustic guitar while sitting on a stool, surrounded by two guys playing instruments and one female backup singer.
Beautiful!
Randy: This type of music definitely suits your voice. Don't know if it was one of your best performances. Rushed.
Paula: You are who you are. Emotional connection with each song you pick. You are Brooke White, excellent and wonderful.
Simon: I totally disagree with Paula. What was lacking in that song was emotion. I thought all of you looked very old as a group. Wasn't one of your best performances.
I don't know what they heard. She sounded great to me.
Ya know... I think Dolly’s actually shorter than Seabiscuit!
Didn’t know she was THAT tiny...
Well she does and they are like her kids:)
I've often wondered how they go about song selection. Do they draw sticks to see who gets to select first?
Howdy, Bahbah :)
That’s a hard one to shorten up, since it tells a story. Pretty song, though.
I was just sitting here hopig perhaps one day they will have “Ray Stevens Night”—now which one will sing “The Streak”, and which one will sing “Ahab the Arab”
she sure was tonight...
It's not a bad choice for Kristy but Brooke would have knocked it out of the park. We'll see how the Kristy, the rising star, does with it. Hard for her to top last week. I doubt if she will.
One of my favorite songs....
More than 5 songs? OMG she’s had hundreds....she is truly talented....
I think she’s only 5’1”.
I’m sure I’ve told this story a million times, but I’m gonna tell it again.
I worked with a guy from eastern TN and his whole family worked at Dollywood in the summers. Supposedly, she frequents the park in regular clothes, her natural hair and little make up. She likes to see how people are enjoying themselves. No one ever recognizes her.
Ya know Jonny, why have a country week when it’s painfully obvious that RP&S don’t have a clue about country music.
Brooke did just fine. No problem with the arrangement. Very Bluegrass-oldtimey. Could have been a little angrier - but that’s just not Brooke to be angry.
The Streak!! LMAO
