LMAO!!!

There is a definite gender gap on the Ice Road Truckers. I just don’t get it. I know no woman who gets it, yet men go crazy for that show. Sunday night I get a phone call about 6:30 from my husband. “Don’t call from 8-9. It’s the Ice Road Truckers season premiere!”

The best answer I can get on why men love it so much is that a really big truck might fall through the ice. That’s it.

Hr is, ins’t he?! At the end of the show, he says, he might have made a mistake. Do you think he’ll crawl back and ask to drive again in the next episode?

I thought she looked better on the show. She was a’ight. She won’t last long.

Military man is a sentimental favorite of mine, but big girl, tall Coffey, and latino man were heads and shoulders above the rest. I think there was a trio that did really well, too, but I can’t remember them. That doesn’t seem like a good sign.

:( sniffle. I like that show. I also like to watch Deadliest Catch.

For me I guess its the drama of cracking ice. I used to do a lot of ice fishing and snowmobile riding on lakes and used to walk around on Lake Erie (it was in our back yard) as a kid. We thought the frozen water spouts were neat. It's an adrenaline rush to hear the ice cracking.

The ice road truckers are crazy. They are driving 120 miles north of the arctic circle. There was a gal ice road trucker last season. I wish they would have given her air time like the guys.

Oh, it's another case of weird teeth. She looks better here, because her mouth is closed. She looks Persian.

American Idol winner David Cook, left, laughs as runner-up David Archuleta sings from a phonebook during a taping of MTV's "Total Request Live" (Jason DeCrow, Associated Press / May 29, 2008)

I get the cracking ice drama, but it’s really just the same show week after week. “Is THIS the week a truck goes through the ice?”

I really should not talk. I watch the same stupid episodes of America’s Next Top Model every Sunday on MTV or VH1. I’ve seen every episode about 50 times and I know who’s going to win. I think I’m just fascinated with Tyra’s crazy.

I think if someone went through the ice, they wouldn't show it, just like with Steve Irwin.

I get the cracking ice drama, but it’s really just the same show week after week. “Is THIS the week a truck goes through the ice?”

I suppose it could be like NASCAR, INDY, F1 etc, where the crash may happen.

I've never watched the modeling shows. I guess I'm not into prissy women or prissy men for that matter! LOL

It's interesting though that the only accidents shown that I recall have been off the ice. Rick Yemm had to miss bison and went off the road, and TJ Wilcox from last season had no brakes and went through a stop sign and hit a passenger truck, and Hugh had an accident on one of the portages and spilled something that had to be cleaned up.

I think the show is interesting in itself. Last year they were driving to the diamond mines and hauling and talking about diamond mine equipment and procedures, while this year they are hauling and talking about oil drilling equipment.

Then you get cry babies like Drew, which I was surprised he quit. I got the impression last year that he was glad to sit around and do nothing. His boss last year was all over him and Yemm, too, ragging on each other.

I can’t wait for tonight’s Hell’s Kitchen. When is the finale for that? Do they get it down to 2 people?

Is anyone watching The Next Food Network Star?

I’m sorry to see that Can You Duet has their final this Friday with 4 duo’s left.

I love David Cook. I hope he isn’t getting serious with Kelly Caldwell.

Grease’s Taylor Hicks Leaves His Handprint at Planet Hollywood

http://www.playbill.com/news/article/118500.html

“American Idol” winner Taylor Hicks stopped by the Times Square Planet Hollywood May 6 for a Handprint Ceremony to commemorate his Broadway debut in Grease.

Hicks, who began performances as Teen Angel on June 6, left his handprint and signature in concrete for display in the popular theme restaurant. Following the ceremony, he posed for photos with fellow Grease co-stars Laura Osnes and Max Crumm and greeted a crowd of his fans, known as the Soul Patrol.

Also in attendance were members of the Grease production team, including director/choreographer Kathleen Marshall and costume designer Martin Pakledinaz.

Hicks is scheduled to stay with the show at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre through September 7.

I’m really not sure when the finale for Hell’s Kitchen is. This is my first season watching it. I’m watching this horrible Moment of Truth show.

Well I won't lie--that's a big part of it :)

Sunday was the first time that I'd ever really watched the show. (The temp. was so hot here that watching a show with lots of ice was very appealing :)

But the more I watched, the more absorbing it became. Men were acting like men, and they didn't apologize for it. It was refreshing!

No metrosexuals allowed in the ice truck--LOL :)
