Yeah, something tells me SJ won’t be surprised either. LOL

There is so much wrong with that, I don't even know where to start.

I know.

I don't agree with President Bush on all things, but I don't like it when he is maligned for things like Katrina and now world poverty. Nigel acts like President Bush is working against AI or increasing world poverty.

I knew if the article bothered me, it was going to infuriate others. Notice OK magazine doesn't offer up an email addy for people to contact them.

Love the cake! :)

Did you alert the fire department before lighting the candles on SJ's cake? ;)

Nigel’s an idiot. Someone needs to educate him on what Bush has done. Maybe Bono can lend a hand. And as for David Cook, he’s got personality on stage and enough sex appeal for women of all ages. I don’t remember there being so much fanfare for any other AI contestants as there has been for Cookie.

Awww...that’s lovely!

A couple of weeks ago when I was getting my tattoo done, the tattoo artist was saying that he plays some game online and plays with the same people all the time. He said, “I’ve never met any of them and probably never will, but I consider them just as close as regular friends.” I told him I knew exactly what he meant. :-)

Yep, you don't have to know someone in person to be a friend or care. A few years back, there was a group of us that posted at a particular forum. One of the guys hit on tought times and needed money. He asked if he could borrow $100 to get to New York, where his brother lived. I sent it western union. When Christmas rolled around i told him he didn't need to pay it back. About a year later his grandfather passed away and left him some money and he sent me a check for $500.

I've been burned it real life, loaning money to friends. Just because you know someone in real life is no guarantee.

I guess the only people embarrassed by the president are you and your condescending limo liberal pals in Hollywood, Nigel.

Those Hollyweird nitwits make me sick. They live such privileged, over-stuffed, coddled lives, waited on hand and foot by bevies of yes-men and yes-women. They have maids, gardeners, drivers, nannies, and a host of other "little" people to do the grunt work in their lives. When they get in trouble with the law, as many of them do, they have bevies of lawyers to make it go away, and publicists to help them spin it to their advantage.

Their business is entertainment, nothing more. And for that they have incomes greater than the incomes of many of the small third-world countries they purport to want to help. Help, mind you, not by spending their own boatloads of money, but by haranguing average working joes and janes to spend theirs.

Well, they can kiss my arse.

But don't worry, when Magic Barack becomes president, as I believe he will, all will suddenly be right in their hedonistic world, and they can go back to their booze, drugs, trophy women (or men) and poverty will end overnight.

Yep, just because someone lives in your vicinity doesn’t mean they are a better person.

It’s too bad that before gas and airline prices went through the roof we didn’t have an AI thread get together. It would have been fun to meet everyone. It still would be fun, just more expensive. ;-)

The stage dad from h*ll strikes again.

David A's Dad Still Can't Beat Idol Goliath
By Gina Serpe, American Idol News
Thu Jun 5, 2:01 AM PDT

It's the thought that counts. Or at least, it's going to have to be in David Archuleta's case.

American Idol producers have put the kibosh on a planned charity concert in the runner-up's homestate of Utah, an event masterminded by Archuleta's father as a "thank you" to fans who backed the teen crooner.

The toe-tapping token of gratitude, however, apparently wasn't run through the proper channels (like, any) and has now been unceremoniously called off due to a little uncharitable thing called "contractual obligations."

Archuleta's agent, Roger Widynowski, said Tuesday that the concert, billed as "Back Home With David Archuleta" and planned for tomorrow night, would be a no-go because the angel-voiced 17-year-old was not allowed to perform at any non-Idol sanctioned gigs. Not even one whose entire proceeds were earmarked for charity.

"They're just going to reschedule the event for a later time," infamous papa Jeff Archuleta told the Salt Lake Tribune. "When all the minds met, everyone concluded this wouldn't work out for this particular weekend, and they just want to reschedule it for toward the middle or the end of the [American Idols Live! summer] tour."

[Read more at the link provided.]

I wonder how much of that "charity" was scheduled to make its way into daddy's and the agent's pockets. Just sayin...

Do you know that that dress had to be literally sewn together OVER her naked body? (What I want to know is how did the President “get in” and then “get back out” without disturbing the seams or sequins??? :))

Snicker...yeah. And apparently existing contracts don't mean squat to daddy. It will be interesting to see if Archie breaks away from dad after he turns 18 later this year.
