I didn’t see Sideways, but he’s an excellent actor. He was great in Cinderella Man (highly underrated movie, IMO).

Giamatti does a mean karaoke in “Duets” with Andre Braugher.
Who knew they love to sing? “;^)

Gwyneth Paltrow’s duet with Huey Lewis is a kick, too. I love her singing voice.

So....is this going to be the official “Hell’s Kitchen” thread each week, too? If you start a new one, please keep me on the list, because I’m addicted to Matt’s total unattractiveness. And by the way, kudos on the Muppet eagle resemblance-—I’m waiting for it to appear on “The Soup” as soon as they can get clearance...

SJ, I can't imagine you would want to do this ping list, you do so much already. If I may O-pine. I think it would be more suitable to seperate the threads because AI is huge as it stands.

Why don't we discuss this to find out who is interested enough to take the reigns of the PL. I would love too, but fear my time might be interfered with playing in a band. (practice time often falls around these shows), but I would be glad to help in any way possible.

I don't think Matt is gonna last much longer in Hell's Kitchen. I think he'll melt into an angry puddle next week. :)

David Cook signs with RCA. Link to article.

In addition, David is going to set a couple of records for a Billboard debut. He's going to have the most songs on the Hot 100 since 1964 when the Beatles had 14 songs on the chart. Here's the link to the Billboard article. From the Billboard article:

Season seven "American Idol" champion David Cook will set a record for debut entries on the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot Digital Songs tomorrow as 11 titles enter the former, while 14 songs jump on the download tally. The onslaught is led by a No. 3 Hot 100 start for his original recording "The Time of My Life," which shifts 236,000 downloads to easily take the No. 1 spot on Hot Digital Songs.

David Cook Visits Luke Menard in the Hospital

Preparing for the American Idol finale means long hours and hard work. But days before David Cook was declared the season seven winner, he dropped everything to visit with fellow top 24 contestant Luke Menard in a Los Angeles hospital.

Menard, 29, was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

“I love Luke and I just wanted to show up and make sure that he understood that I love him and know that if there’s anything I can do for him and his wife, sign me up, you know?” Cook tells PEOPLE. “Luke, Michael Johns, Jason Yeager and myself, we kind of buddy-ed up one day at Hollywood week,” Cook explains. “We called ourselves the four horsemen. Any time one of your own is going through something as horrible as that, it makes everything else seem a little bit insignificant.

“Cancer,” Cook says, “is a very big part of my existence.” Cook’s older brother Adam has been battling brain cancer for ten years. “I’m excited to be put in [the spotlight] where I can hopefully do something to help other people.” –Monica Rizzo

The more I got to see of David in the interviews he did after he won, the more I came to like him. He's a real decent human being. Unlike other celebs, I hope he keeps his politics to himself, although I suspect he'd tilt Democrat. But that's OK. Not everything in life has to be about politics. My father was a life-long Democrat, and I'll always love him even if we never shared the same politics.

With AI over for the season, there won’t be many AI articles or news for a while. Hell’s Kitchen is about halfway through. I think its ok here. just my 2cents

It’s still so amazing to me that Luke has cancer. He looked so healthy on the show! Just goes to show none of us should take any thing for granted. I’m hoping he makes a full recovery!

Did you see the other day that Tony Snow has been advised by his doctors not to travel? I hope he’s on the mend, too. But this time has me spooked. :-(

OMG! Apparently, the folks at BWE blog think YOU'D make a good addition to their staff, because they're stealing your material!

But, to us, Mr. Big always kind of brought to mind Sam the Eagle from The Muppet Show.

Accompanied by this picture...
