Fried spam can be yummy, chopped in long, small pieces and sauteed with a couple pieces of bacon, a stalk of celery, a small diced onion and added to rice with a smidgeon of soy sauce.
Can also add leftover veggies and/or scrambled egg.
Learned that from college roomies, two of which were Asian and taught me how to cook rice the right way.
Did you know you can cook a full pot of rice in any size pot just by measuring up to the first finger joint?
First the rice and then the same measure for water.
Makes a full pot, large or small.
You probably already knew that!

Actually, that does look kinda good. :) We had a great Memorial Day. Met friends at the park, had a cookout. Perfect day, perfect weather. Hope you are having a nice day as well. Jonny what are we going to do for the next year? I missed my 24 thread this year, now there is no AI, I can’t go on the President Bush thread without getting teary eyed, :( Sigh....

what are we going to do for the next year? LOL :) We have the Olympics and the Dem convention this summer--I anticipate high entertainment value from both of those :) And there's going to be a made-for-TV 24 movie this fall. That's pretty much it :-D

And there's going to be a made-for-TV 24 movie this fall. Seriously? YES!!!! Hope it's not cheesy or anything. I am sure the Dem convention thread will be entertaining....probably a little heated too.
