This has been one of the best finales this show has had. Great job!I agree. Absolutely great, right down to the end where his brother mouths "that's my brother".
Did you notice Simon when they announced that David C. won? Seriously, it's the first time I have EVER seen a pure look of joy/happiness like that on his face.

It’s amazing how I thought he was so unattractive with his red comb over bangs and strange haircut and facial hair. Now I think he’s a sexy as s**t. His mannerisms make me melt.
Where was his sick brother? I didn’t see him.

I didn’t see his brother....the sick one....Andrew, mom and step-dad were there.

Definitely a good show. I really thought having pros back up the idols was really cool - for the idols! I have to say, since I couldn’t earlier, the DC version of Risky Business was better (what’s with the boxers - poor DA, mom’s orders).

Thanks for keeping this thread alive and so much fun!
I still can’t believe it. I was so expecting the Ashley Furls to come through for the little Monch.
BY 12 MILLION VOTES??? That is a total BLOWOUT! I think David Cook was totally shocked.
WOO HOO!!!
BTW, what was with George Michael’s nose? It looked waaaay different. In an icky sort of way.

I don’t his brothers name who is ill. Meant to say...

Check this out about David C. (from Wiki):
He earned a theater scholarship to the University of Central Missouri, but he abandoned theater after two semesters, graduating from the school in 2006 with a degree in graphic design.
While in college, he was a member of Phi Sigma Kappa. After his college graduation, he relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma to pursue his career in music, telling his family,
“I just want to give myself until I’m 26 years old to get a job.”
