for stray dogs that people just push out of their cars out here in the country. Guess that answers my question about someone having lost them and putting an ad in the paper etc. Sounds like you are far enough from town that this may have been done deliberately.
Agree they are definitely a mix of some sort. When you take them in for their shots and exam the vet may be able to shed a little more light on the breeds involved. Sure precious though.

Yeah, Rocket & Potato. I dunno, the names just came to me.

They look like the European Spotless-Dalmation......... :)I thought all dalmatians were total whits as puppies and then got their spots as they got older.
I have seen 101 Dalmatian's at least a thousand times. lol

the more I think about it and look at the size of those paws, plus they look kinda fuzzy. A Great Pyrenees will also have some masking on the fur. So I think they are a mix of Lab and Great Pyrenees. The fur will be longer than a Lab but shorter than a Great Pyrenees.

Do they fetch? If so they are retrievers. They will be 75 pounds with big feet.

A year ago a mixed lab adopted us. Her dad was a border collie/blue healer mix who prefered blondes (golden retriever). At 90 pounds we call her the bionic dog because she destroys non destructable toys in under an hour. Only the King Dong survives. She has chewed through a heavy chain link fence leaving little pieces of steel on the ground. She loves to run with our horses when we ride. This morning she brought both of my slippers to my side of the bed in the same mouthfull. Newspapers from neighbors yards, limbs, whatever are retrieved post haste. Spend a lot of time training them when they are young and it pays off later. Congratulations!

They'll get plenty of that. My grandkids want them to be house dogs not yard dogs.
I wonder how old they are?

One time, I spilled spot remover on my dog.

It does look that way. They’ve already taken a place in our heart. Usually we keep the stray animals for a few days(there are so many) then call the pound to come get them. We’re not going to call them this time however.

Dear PPH;
There’s a special place for you in heaven. Bless you.
To: KansasGirl
Aren’t they just so cute. I took to them as soon as I saw them. Are they better as house or yard dogs?
