We're watching the primary returns come in right now and Barak Obama will turn John McCain into GARDEN COMPOST once the real campaigning starts. McCain has SO M-A-N-Y factors working against him, his health, his age, and his legendary millimeter short fuse. I still plan to write in Fred Thompson on election day but my money is on Barak Obama to be taking the oath as POTUS on January 20th, 2009

Although I didn’t major in miracles, like Mike Huckabee did, I’m still praying for one, and hoping something, anything, happens and this turns out all to be a very bad dream.

Fred endorsed McCain. I can’t stand McCain either, but I’m going to vote for him to prevent Hillary/Obama from becoming president.

How DARE you so cavalierly mock the annointed candidate of this nation's proud, heavily-accented army of roofers, drywallers, pool boys and lawn maintenance men, you filthy cur?!?

In all honesty, our next president would probably be a democrat regardless of who the nominee was. Newt’s been saying that for over a year now, and he’s usually not wrong about these things.

You don’t think Barak will be nice to him? He was singing McCain’s praises in his speech in Virginia tonight.

I was thinking the same thing. Rush was right, you never know what is going to happen in politics. It looks like Obama is going take the Democrat nomination running away with what is left. Thompson or Romney or anybody else could not have stopped him. McCain gets his chance, gets creamed, and probably will leave the Senate. If getting him chance to get creamed by Obama, gets him out of the Senate, then Republicans will have lost and gained at the same time.

Senator Bob Dole, in my opinion, was also submitted as a sacrifice in 1996 in order to keep Clinton in office and continue the erosion of Democrat power in Congress and in state legislatures.

John McCain is the perfect sacrificial lamb to atone for the sins of the RNC & GOP He symbolizes ALL that is WRONG with the GOP and once he's run through the chipper shredder named Barak Obama MAYBE, JUST M-A-Y-B-E the RINOs will the see the futility of nominating one of their own for POTUSDang--that's good!
I'm skeptically optimistic. I don't think they'll get it, but maybe they'll be thrown out on their arses.

RINO’s do not know the definition of futility. Remember, they are the ones who suffered quietly for 40 years in the minority in the House.
Their motto was “After a while, you’ll get used to it.”

Requiem For The Republic
[With apologies to Al Stewart]

On the morning after Super Tuesday, in a party running out of time
We've been run over by the Straight Talk Express, and we think it's a crime.
He came out of the sun, on a strafing run (the maver-icky John McCain).
Don't bother asking for explanations He'll just tell you that he came...
In the year of the Rat
Happy TET!
