I never would have said this before tonight’s victory. But if the Giants played the pats 10 times, they’d beat them at least 6 times. The have more team speed than the pats do.

“The 1972 Dolphins are still the best football team ever”

I’ve seen them all, and the 1985 Chicago Bears were the most dominating team I’ve ever seen.

I’m not saying he played BAD...just that it wasn’t game changing, which is what an MVP ought to be.

Spagnolo (sp?) is a Jim Johnson protege yes.

The defensive part of the game was actually pretty similar to the Eagles close loss to the Pats earlier this year. Our QB threw an interception returned for a TD that cost us the game. Eli did not.

Superbowl greatness is all about being clutch and Eli was clutch. I still remember McNabb puking his lungs up when the pressure was on.

And Bill Belichick couldn’t even stick around for the final snap. No class.

Yep, what a bum, unsportsmanlike conduct. I thought his childish actions would be a story in and of itself.

There’s gotta be a lot of pissed-off bookies out there tonite !

Naw, the bookies set the line to get 50% of the money bet either way. They make their money on volume, not correctness.

Both coaches were shaking hands and talking with each other when the refs signaled the game was not over.

yep, so Belacheck KNEW the game was not over but as a BUM would, he left the field.

Not that any of the defensive players couldn’t hvae been deserving

I thought the Manning MVP was a good call for that final drive alone, but collectively, the Giants defense---especially the pass rush---was the reason the Giants won the game. By hurrying Brady or plunking him on his ass, the Pats' offense couldn't get into a rhythm . . . plus, they had to use their TEs as blockers, so they couldn't do the five wide-out thing at all. As a Pats fan, I didn't like the outcome, but it was a hell of a football game, and the Giants deserved the win.

It took 19 games to "figure out" how to beat the Pats, and the Giants did it: rush, rush, RUSH.

I believe Hutch said on Rush’s show that if they could get to Brady 3 or more times, they had a good chance of winning.

Yep, huetch said that but ALSO PREDICTED a Giants win, saying he could see it in their eyes, they were hungry. The Pats just thought they deserved a win simply for showing up with pretty boy brady suited up.

I thought Manning showed guts, grit, and determination. I thought he decided that he was winning, like Simms 21 years ago, and made sure his team didn’t disappoint. He earned the MVP. Not that any of the defensive players couldn’t hvae been deserving — especially Umenyiora or possibly Sam Madison, who quietly had a great ballgame.

If no single player stands out above the others, they're gonna give it to the winning QB every single time.

Personally, I would have voted for Tyree (TD catch, amazing catch setting up game-wining TD), but Manning's two clutch Q4 drives override a lot of the earlier frustration he had.

Belichick did what his team did....lost at the end.

For some time the Patriots will be the butt of jokes. Belichick will be the Sore Loserman of this Super Bowl.

As bad as his nude scene in “Failure to Launch was, it was not as nearly as bad as his country albums back in the day.

Speaking as someone who lived in Miami, its amazing how the ‘Canes are “the team” of the area, moreso than the Dolphins.

It is tradition for the coaches to shake hands after a game. BB walked away. END.

No, BB did not walk away before congratulating the Giants coah. They met at mid field while the pandamonium was starting up and the refs were trying to rebottle the celebratory genie.
