My Serious, Logical Thoughts on Theres No Place Like Home Parts 2 and 3Welcome to Theres No Place Like Home Parts two and three |
I've been watching the second season again and there's an episode where the shattering noise and blinding white light occur again exactly as when the island moved in the fourth season.
When I watched the show the first time I didn't understand what that meant. But it seems like the island moved late in the second season, and perhaps that's what permitted all the time-traveling of people like Jack's dad.
Nice job.
I do not think Locke is dead - looks like it, he is not.
Good call with Saywer/daughter.
Eight months - way too long.
hula.com has all the episodes, I may just watch the whole series over from the beginning.
Was that when Desmond turned the key? I wonder if the Swan station's real purpose was to keep the island from moving? Possibly, the 108 minute dead-man switch was to make sure if someone found the island and disrupted the residents, that it would move (through time?) and keep the island safely hidden.
I think it was a stretch. Why did the rest of the Oceanic Six just accept Jack telling them to lie? Wouldn't Hurley or Kate or Sayid or especially Sun want the truth told, even if it wasn't quite the whole truth? If they had put in a little bit of an argument I would have been far more satisfied--at least have someone ask "Why? The island isn't even there anymore."
You all need help. So here:
There is no such thing as destiny. The Island calls people who have interacted in the future (probably on the Island or due to other time distortion loci on earth) and must get back together for time to be reconciled. This is why ALL the Six must return. Their future selves are intertwined and must finish their interactions or there will be a time rift.
Ben and Widmore are each other’s constants. If either killed the other the survivor would go mad or descend into a time vortex/black hole.. This is evidence that Widmore has his own time manipulation device.
The Island doesn’t move. It just shifts its local time.
I see no real evidence for teleportation. The Polar Bear in Africa was the artifact of another Darma group.
Hugo is a special character because like Miles he possesses supernatural mental abilities. He taps into knowledge that Ben has to use technology to access.
Jacob invented the technology and keeps himself in perpetual omnipresence and has absolute power over the island. He may be in fact physically dead but as in chess has played the game an infinite number of ways in future time dimensions and has anticipated nearly every possible move. After all .... the cabin has no constant local. It exists in its own time/dimension.
There. Does that help?
Widmore is a time traveler. He has his own device. Ben is in control of the only other device not controlled by Widmore. If Widmore can kill some or all of the Oceanic Six OR those left on the island it will cause an irreparable rift in Ben’s time bubble/localized shifted dimension and destroy it ... and Ben.
I'm still not sure why one time traveler would want to destroy another. There has to be some other motive than pure power.
Ben showing up in a desert in the Middle East wearing a snow parka doesn't count as evidence?
I think Ben is interfering with Widmore’s efforts. Blocking him. Or perhaps there can be only one truly or fully functional vortex or loci on the planet at one time. Or Ben has the more powerful device powered by the larger amount of anti-matter and Widmore can never get control of it without capturing Ben.
I missed that episode. Is there a recap?
