So at least ESPN will acknowledge that she did something that embarrassed the network and attempted to answer to people who complained about it. Frankly I'm surprised they bothered to answer at all, it's refreshing to see them admit it was uncalled for.

I’m sure the 3 people working at ESPN who believe in Jesus were mildly offended as well.

My actions at the roast were inappropriate and in no way represent who I really am. In vino veritas, Dana.

Wow what a refreshingly blunt reply. Sounds to me like she’s on thin ice.

“as far as I can determine, there has been no video confirming the specifics of what she said”
So the reports of her statements are false? Does she deny them? If they are inaccurate, why apologize?
And why apologize to people of ALL faiths (including muslims, satanists, scientologists, hindus, etc) when it was a direct attack at Jesus Christ?

We live in a country that only allows the blasphemy of Jesus Christ and take it from me we will pay soon.

Interpreting these messages is kind of like Kremlin Watching used to be.
The way I read it is that they looked into it, found that she had really, really screwed up, chewed her out, and warned her not to do it again or she’d be fired.
Then they added that bit about not being able to confirm the exact nature of the offense because they didn’t want to fire her RIGHT NOW, which is what would have been done if she had offended a Designated Victim Group in a similar matter.
So, at least she has issued a groveling apology and probably won’t do it again. That’s more than you can usually expect for an offense against Christians.

I dunno, sounds like a really excellent lack of judgment to me...

When posting a story like this, the Rules require a photo of the miscreant, so we may determine if her rating on the “Hotness” scale is sufficient to overcome any possible transgression.

I respect all religions and did not mean anything derogatory by my poorly chosen words...
When I think of "poorly chosen words", I think of being misunderstood because I didn't choose words that adequately expressed what I was trying to say. Perhaps we should ask her what better chosen words she could have used to more clearly make her point.

I bet if Jackie Mason said the same things, sober or drunk, he'd get away with it. Or Dennis Miller for that matter.
She;s toast and ESPN will determine when she leaves.
