The Scary Nurse rocked out.

Was she the one who sang "Heart" in the auditions? That was impressive, a very difficult song to sing, as are quite a few from the Heart gals.

Her voice was good, but the song choice was not. I really don’t get the the hype with her either. I don’t know, I get the feeling from her that she kinda of thinks she’s ordained to win.

I'm getting the feeling the JUDGES think she's ordained to win. I hope not. I've had that feeling a couple of times with AI.

The "mic problem" by Simon, I think, was more of what I noticed in her performance...mugging for the camera. She handled the mic professionally but was 'way too conscious of "smile a little, here"...."turn my head a little there".

I'm leaning towards Ayesha at this point, with rocker babe second (can she do anything else?) but it's way early, and the boys are gonna be a real force,

IMO. BTW, the little schtick by Paula on spelling of Ayesha's name goes back to the auditions when Paula made a big deal of "YES" being a part of AYESsha's name.

Woah! That’s one scary pic of Carly!

I’ve decided to go KAKA for the girls! Here’s what it means:

Katy - She’s my favorite. Hands down.
Asia - She’s my #2
Katie - She’s better than she was last night.
Alaina - I really like her singing but she shouldn’t talk afterwards. Too much like a California Pickler.

I also liked the short chick with the goofy name I can’t remember. She made Seacrest look tall.

Melinda also toured with Laura Bush in Africa on a “fight malaria” campaign. (just catching up with all your groovy comments...)

Yep, it was MCA. Why do people get on TV and completely forget about Google?? I found this picture of her and it looks like she's trying to blow up our heads with her mind.

I read an interview the other day where she said that she was 15 at the time and she mentioned how September 11 happened at the same time and how people weren't out buying new artists. That would make her 21. Problem is that he numbers don't up. I think she's 24.

Found it:

'IDOL' RINGER'S LAMENT

Smithson - who is competing on "Idol" under her married name but was Carly Hennessey in 2001 when MCA tried to make her into a Britney Spears- like performer - said her experience with big- time music was a disaster from the start.

She denied that MCA ever spent anything like $2.2 million to jump start her career, as reported in a Wall Street Journal article several years ago.

The problem she says was that she was only 15 years old at the time the CD was recorded but the songs were too sexy for the young audience the label was aiming for.

Just as the record was coming out, the 9/11 attacks happened and "nobody was interested in shopping a new record," she said.

When I look at this girl, I ask myself “What ever happened to Charlotte Church? Could this be her?”

How’s THAT for a conspiracy theory?

re: lunar eclipse

Couldn’t see it last night because we had a neat little storm coming through...and the thunder just kept rolling...and rolling...and then FLASH....lightning streaked the sky again and again.

I LOVE storms (and they are so rare in Phoenix), so I don’t regret missing the eclipse. ;)

Brett Michaels - he’s kind of a has-been. He was the lead singer of the glam band Poison. Now he has a reality show: Rock of Love, which is an American reality television dating game show. It’s pretty raunchy and whorish, imo.

She looks like a girl who was “too sexy” at 15, and is now over the hill at 28. Very hard-looking. And the tattooed arm doesn’t help.

Did you notice at the end last night, when all the girls rushed to hug each other, there was Carly—alone and unhugged, at the other end of the stage.

That tells you something.

Did you realize that tonight’s elimination show is 2 hours long? I don’t know why I thought it would be just one hour. Even that seems long enough to get rid of 4 people.

I’m looking for a tongue stud......I don’t see one....

She has plenty of tats though, which make up for loss of piercings, imo.
