Kristi Lee Cook lives in a small town 15 miles from here, and the town is really rooting for her.
There’s a restaurant in Selma where they are serving $1.00 hot dogs and watching and cheering Kristi. Her Mom lives just down the road from the restaurant and stops in all the time.
Plus, wow...is she pretty!

My bottom two are Amy Davis and Joanne Borgella, but Kristy Lee Cook was my biggest disappointment of the night. Maybe it was the flu, but I expected much better from her.
My rankings:
1. Ramiele Malubay(nice voice, cute, and just enough charisma)
2. Asia’h Epperson(better than I expected from her and good to see someone who looked like she wanted to be there when so many tonight didn’t seem to.)
3. Amanda Overmayer(big points for effort and daring to be different)
4. Alexandrea Lushington(thought that performance was fun and better than I expected from her)
5. Carly Smithson(not really a fan of that type of voice but the girl can sing)
6. Syesha Mercado(didn’t care for the song choice, but she has a big voice and contestants with big voices usually stick around for a while)
7. Kady Malloy(thought the judges were way too tough on her)
8-10.(tie) Kristy Lee Cook(hoping for improvement next week), Brooke White(think she needs to break out the keyboard again), Alaina Whitaker(considerably better than I expected but I still doubt she’ll be around for long)
11. Joanne Borgella(just not very pleasant to listen to and worse than I expected from her)
12. Amy Davis(worst of the night by far)
Bye bye, Amy. Closer call on who the other one to go will be, but I’ll say Joanne.
The males seem to have three levels between great, average, and mediocre. The females seem to be a bit more tighter and it’s almost anybody’s race.
But if I had to pick a winner for Idol, it would be Syesha... talented singer, beautiful, charming, great presence. Amanda is definitely the most unique singer of the bunch and should last quite a while (glad to hear she’s not going to sing any more Joplin and we’re getting a chance to hear more variety, which was a concern by the judges earlier on). I still love Brooke and I hope she’ll last a long time in a tough crowded field.
Of the women to be cut, Amy Davis would be my first pick to go. The weakest of this bunch. The second one to go is a little harder. Kristy Lee Cook didn’t quite have it tonight I’m afraid, but she might survive the first cut... we’ll see.
I also want to add that I had a dream last night about American Idol. I actually got to judge a performance on the panel (the girl singing had a mask over her mouth and the singing was garbled). Clay Aiken was also in my dream. He was nice to me.
I think I should be scared. :-o
Great pictures! They both look genuinely happy.....
LOL!--hey you brought it on yourself ;-D
You're right. That's a good observation.
My bottom two are Amy Davis and Joanne Borgella
I hope Joanne can survive tonight. I would rather see Kristy Lee Cook go. It's a close call. But Amy Davis is a goner.
I bet one of the blondes will go tonight. If not Kristy then Kady (her death glare at the judges may have turned off voters).
ROTFL!!!!
Awww...those are really cute.
LMAO!!!
I had one once, that apparently, I had been on AI and made the top 11, but completely forgot to tell you all. :-)
“Hey, remember that time I was on American Idol. What do you mean I didn’t tell you about that?”
LMAO!! That’s why I never read before my mega mug of English Breakfast tea. ;-)
LMAO!!! Don’t lie. You love it. ;-)
Thanks...catching up now.
Did MCA go under?
In spring 2003, the MCA Records label was absorbed by Geffen Records,[11] which continues to manage MCA's rock, pop, and urban back catalogues (including those from ABC Records and Famous Music Group). Its country music label, MCA Nashville Records is still in operation. MCA's jazz catalogue is managed by Verve Records, while its classical music catalogue is managed by Deutsche Grammophon. MCA's musical theatre catalogue is managed by Decca Records on its Decca Broadway imprint.
