She’s not alone. I hate the hair of 90% of these male contestants.
Imagine him without all the hair/dreadlocks...he’d be hot.
Me too! I wish the whole shaggy haircut phase would be ovah!
That’s what I said, too!! Dylan was so much hotter then Brandon (stupid Kelly!).
Sadly, yes I can. Mine is bad, but no Marie. My brother’s MIL on the other hand.... One day he was coming home and saw her through the window going through their dresser drawers!
But I've got a feeling we're stuck with him, Sanjayastyle, for a while.
LMAO! We are so on the same wavelength today. You just know Brett got a new wig this season. They are hardly even trying to hide it.
You would think that the royalties from “Every Rose Has It’s Thorn” could have bought him at least a nice human hair wig.
Interesting how Daughtry went WAY further than McVee. Good for him he got kicked off when he did. :)
You guys are cracking me up! “Lesbian Phoebe Cates” and Jessica Alba! LMAO! Last night someone said Angelina Jolie.
I just hope Dylan McKay and Michael Johns stick around for a while, so we ladies get a little eye candy this season. Last year all we had was Nosferatu and he was too scary to be hot.
I hope you both pop on during an episode this season! You are both so funny!
Same here.
11. Danny Noriega - Jailhouse Rock - Ok I will admit I have Danny down this low because the arrogant little snot just annoyus the hell out of me. His performance was just hideaous enough and over the top to give me even more reason to put him down here. I am with Simon - GHASTLY!!!
I just watched the show...we are one day behind. I hate this kid! Vote for the Worst has him as their pet project of course. He is the new Sanjaya. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Colton Berry, Danny Noriega SUCK!!!! no pun intended. I absolutely hope that America is smarter than they have been with the Presidential Election.
I thought David Archuletta was the best followed by Jason Castro followed by Michael Johns.
Most boring was Luke Menard, but hope he gets another shot.
Bottom line, most were unforgettable. I was shocked at the many who I did not remember when I saw the recap at the end of the show.
Not if he made out with Ryan Seacrest on stage could he appear any more gay.
What?! It's like dawgs, man. Randy's dawgs. Wash them things...takes fo'evah ta dry, man. Dontcha know nothin, man?!

snicker...
Thanks for your post. I enjoyed your comments. I'm on the West Coast too, so know what you mean about not really being able to join in real time. What I try to do is record each show, then review the performances the next day to see if my first impressions hold up. So here they are...
This year it seems Paula has two new favorite terms: authentic and color. She babbled as usual, but tried to articulate more slowly and fight with Simon more sharply. Oh, wait. We're supposed to be judging the performers, not their den mother wannabe.David Hernandez: Good singer with a good voice. Not much stage presence, which is going to hurt him eventually in this competition. But for now, he's in my top 6.
Chikezie: R&B wannabe whose voice and singing are not up to professional level. I'd like to hear him sing in a lower key. He also doesn't have much stage presence, which might be why he wore that salmon-colored suit. (Paula's still deciding if salmon is one of the colors she's been hearing.)
David Cook: Decent voice. Very comfortable on stage. Pronounced his 'R' in 'together' very hard and strangely. I don't like his style much, but he did enough for now to be in my top 6.
Jason Yeager: Took a risk singing a song written by Henry Mancini and Johnny Mercer for Audrey Hepburn, who had a sweet, light singing voice, but limited vocal range. (She actually sang all the songs during the shooting of 'My Fair Lady', but they were dubbed for the released version.) I don't think this song did Jason's voice justice, and in looks, he reminds me of the young Donny Osmond. Very, very dated look and style. Jason's in my top 6 only because I want to hear more from him, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him go Thursday thanks to a really bad song choice for him.
Robbie Carrico: Simon is right to doubt this guy's hard rock persona. He doesn't come off as real no matter what he says. His voice is OK, although his high notes were sour.
David Archuletta: Even though this guy has been a pro since childhood and is, therefore, something of a ringer in this competition, the fact is he's good looking, charming, very talented and one of the favorites to go all the way. Who knows if his aww-shucks demeanor is real or just an act. He's in the competition and we have to judge him on what he does now, not what he did in the past. Definitely in my top 6.
Danny Noriega: Terrible. He sang totally off the beat and ahead of the band throughout the song. He went so fast at one point that you can distincly hear the band rushing to catch up to him. He also has a thin voice. I mean 'Jailhouse Rock' doesn't exactly require a 6-octave range or anything, but this guy couldn't quite manage even this song's limited range. Noriega evidently thinks he has the panache and talent of Elvis, but I think I've seen better performances from Minnie Mouse.
Luke Menard: Although I like the song, it was a poor choice for him, especially first night out of the box. This is a song that easily gets boring unless the singer brings some real feeling to it. Luke didn't. He has a good voice, but he tended to get sharp on his high notes. He also has a slight nasal quality to his singing. That's something he can work on though. I'm willing to hear more from him, so he's in my top 6 for now.
Colton Berry: I have only one word for him, his voice and his performance. Blah.
Garrett Haley: Absolutely the worst performance of the night, and I didn't think that was going to be possible after Noriega. What on earth did the judges see in him to let him get this far? This year's Sanjaya.
Jason Castro: Don't like the dreads. Don't know why he got to play a guitar. OK performance. A bit of a quirky singing style, but he has a decent voice. I could see him making the top 6, and could be persuaded to swap the Donny Osmond wannabe out for Jason.
Michael Johns: My personal favorite contestant this year starting with his first audition. This guy has a terrific voice, and a really good singing style. But I was disappointed in this performance. He's better than what he showed last night. He was even a little off key during parts of the song. Still, he deserves another chance and is in my top 6.
Who should go home Thursday: Danny Noriega and Garrett Haley.
Thanks for the info, Netizen. I wouldn’t mind of Smithson was out for some reason. I don’t like her much.
One article I read said that he made Elton John look like Bruce Springstein! LOL
