Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

That's the plan. ;-)
Should be! I’m sure I’ll fall to pieces since I’ve not played with or in front of anyone in so long, but it’ll be good for me.
And I’ll get to meet some fellow guitar campers before summer. ;-)
It’ll be good for chat-viewing, if we ever do that again.
And if I get my DVD player workin’ again. I think that’s just a cable issue, at least.
Morning Rosie - we were ‘seriesly’ looking at one a few years back and test drove it. Ultimately we didn’t get it but it’s very cool little vehicle. The folding seat combos, including the front seat passenger, makes for a very open floor plan for all kinds of carrying capacity.
LSA’s sister has had a Matrix for four or five years and has been very pleased with it. She’s known for being frugal, getting about 225,000 miles out of her Corolla before she sold it.
Good Morning ALL: Sunny crisp day w/o the usual wind. Flag is just hanging there.
Last week at therange, the shooter in booth ahead of us didn’t sweep up his brass, .38spl no less, well, I swept it all up, didn’t want LSA or I stepping on all that brass. Swept it right up into my range bag. :-)
Back from a brief sojurn southward to our 46th state, waved to 2-jedismom as the place flew over her neck of the woods but at 20,000 feet I don’t think she saw me.
OT: How’s the indoor gardening coming along?
It’s going okay....having some trouble getting Miss Cat’s old cat grass seeds to germinate so I ordered some more from Burpee.
Right now I’m harvesting lettuce and a few leaves of spinach. I’ve got fresh chives and oregano for salad.
Going to start some seeds this weekend and root some impatiens cuttings.
Heh, you are the only gardener we know that grows produce and herbs one salad worth at a time. :-)
Here's the lettuce. I harvest the outside leaves and use them to supplement the store-bought stuff:
Spinach and the now growing bay tree. I had some trouble getting the spinach to germinate (need to start the seeds earlier!)
That's garlic in the pots behind the bay tree.
Chives on the right, chocolate mint and thyme in the strawberry pot:
Oregano
And here's my impatiens that I need to trim back. It's been blooming for two years!
Been up runnin' errands, arranging to have Jr's car towed to the place that's gonna fix it, haircut, dry cleaning, grocery store.
Sister Mary Hamburner and Sister Enabler are coming for dinner tonight, along with Sister Enabler's daughter, boyfriend and three (count 'em) three kids. We've not seen them in quite a while, but Not Valerie and I are ready to tell them to get the hell out of our house if they give us attitude.
Had Jr. "helping" with stuff and finally just had to tell him to get the @#$@ out of the house. I swear the boy has no common sense. Asked him to put the cat's cage in the garage. He did but couldn't get the door shut. I suggested he move something...oh. Asked him to replace the candles in the fireplace. He did. Of course he didn't remove the melted ones that were there from Christmas.
Nana remains much the same. The hardest part to deal with is the dementia. And we don't know if it's temporary or permanent. She recognized Not Valerie last night, but had no idea she was in the hospital.
I'm not sure last night's purchase of four bottles of wine will be sufficient...
Good luck today and tonight Corin!
Overtaxed... fun indoor garden pics, with snow outside.
If we get motivated, we’re going to start working over the front lawn and maybe throw some seed down, though it’s a little early.
Well. gee...good luck with everything!
What was the end diagnosis on Jr.’s car...or should I ask?
Water pump and timing belt. We’ll get it back on the road.
I’ve been thinking about doing a little seeding, too...for what good it’ll do over here. ;-) Still need to take the mower in, too. And soon. It may be too early for seed to really germinate, but the grass is definitely greener than it was a week ago.
Ah - that’s not nearly as bad as it could have been, then, huh?
For what that’s worth!
Yeah, it could have been worse.
oh look, i got the fives and didn’t even notice
sadly, that may be the best thing that’s happened to me all week...
Yeah, I wanted to start work outdoors today but it’s going to be too cold! It’s supposed to warm up by next weekend though. Can’t wait to get muh hands in the soil!
Well, you could always try watering it this year ;~)
Nice crop there in the sunroom!
You might need to take advantage of that case quantity. ;o) Prayers up for y'all.
