The Hobbit Hole XXXV - ...is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
Posted on 01/03/2008 6:35:58 PM PST by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Im good at ciphering, but have never been interested in abstract math.
No kidding. I took a look at what Jen was doing. It was much easier to just look at it and write down the answer than to puzzle out the notation system they were using.
To: Corin Stormhands
Oooh - I’m not sure we know the answer... Why do you think that? Ben said it was “one of his people” didn’t he?
To: HairOfTheDog
Yeah. It was hard to tell. But for the brief glimpse that we got, it looked like the guy was wearing similar clothing to what Desmond was wearing when he went to Penny’s house.

Hmmm... well, I did not notice that!

Well, I don't know about that, but I have a prediction about the identity of Ben's "man on the boat":
Michael, Walt's father.
Now that I've thrown that out there, I'm off to work. ;-)
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
I agree with you on that one. Especially since the preview for next week said we'd see a face we never thought we'd see again...although When Walt showed up at the end of last season, I guessed we'd see Michael again......and maybe even read about the actor returning (but I can't remember for sure).

We have a theory too.... when last seen he was headed that way, anyhow... :~)

You know, I’m guessing someone out there has already done it. But after this season, I’m thinking of watching all four seasons again and makeing a HUGH chart that connects all of the characters/plot lines...

I’d like to see a chart. I’ve forgotten half of the connections.

This is what I've got so far...

You know, my mother is fascinated by LOST, which I find somewhat amazing.
On the other hand, it may give me the opportunity to go back in time and pay for those wedding pictures...

Well, the weather folks are saying that THIS weekend’s storm is going to be rain. It has been quite nice here the last couple of days, so I hope the temps will stay high enough to bear that prediction out!

You can’t change the future. Your destiny is to ~not~ pay for those pictures.

We went back and watched the Desmond episode “Flashes Before Your Eyes” from Season 3 again. It’s really enlightening now.
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Yeah...that’s what we all said, too.
