Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Don’t worry. When you are on trial we will all tell the news ‘He was the nicest guy. We had NO IDEA he would just snap like that.’
I honestly think if I could afford new, I’d be very tempted by Saturn just because of the no bargaining thing.
Since I’m not buying new and there’s a pretty wide estimated price range for each model, it’s harder. And I cave under pressure...
But I’m gonna do my best...
Bring a friend to play badcop and know the BlueBook value of what you are looking at first.
I hate haggling too. Good thing my dad was there for both my car buys. Then again the BattleCruiser’s first owner was offering such a good deal we just paid the asking price.
Cions also have a no haggle policy by the way.
But if you already know in advance for reading up on stuff that something is a good enough deal you will not feel bad paying what they want for it.
Trust me, the salesmen and the ~manager~ love, absolutely love, haggling. OB is very good at car buying, and turns into this ~man I don't know~. When we were buying my Tucson, and I couldn't stand the arguing anymore, I finally said "Fine, we'll take it", they all turned and looked at me like I had spoiled their fun. And I really think I did.

So...how much would it cost to rent OB for a couple days? ;-)
If’n I could figure out a way to time-travel him there I would. As an alternative, maybe he can give you pointers.

Evenin’. We’re halfheartedly in the market for a GPS. It needs to do city maps and topo maps.
Any ideas?
CarMax is good, so is AutoTrader.com. That’s where I found my Town and Country Van. Heck, we bought SirKit’s truck on eBay, but then we were able and willing to drive to GA to get it. ;o)
Evening Lil’freeper - one word Garmin. Hand held or auto mounted they seem to be one. (good Kansas company too).
Yikes!
Garmin is nice! We use them for our gps’s. They also work as little bike computers.
Okiedokes... move Garmin to top of list for research. Tanks!
Mwahahah...look what's in my price range, Hair and ecurbh! If I got it, you'd hafta build a hedge to shelter yourself from the blazing ugliness...
It kinda matches the decor over here, though...
The college GIS department used Garmin brand stuff - they said it was the most rugged and the support was good.
Yeah, my company uses Garmins for our rail track survey work.
Where's Highway 10?
There's the moose again.
Give a give a give a give a Garmin
Give a give a give a give a Garmin... ;o)
I have a desire for a new car. That desire looks like a Nissan Murano (this, from the woman who once said she'd only buy GM) ...

There's something girly about it that appeals to me ...
Aargh! Were you able to get one today, anyway?
