Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

It probably isn’t for you... but if you needed to send or receive one... all that should be necessary is to plug the phone line in the back of it. It doesn’t even really need to be hooked to the computer, it would just work like a phone.
Well, I’ll tell him what I’m doing, I guess.
If he mentions tranquilizers, sedatives, anti-anxiety medications or such...I may go postal. Steve’s going with me so he can watch, if he does.
Heh heh!
When is your appointment? I forget. Next week, right?
Does sound cushy, and just the thing for you!
What does the column of numbers, after the BP number, signify?
Her eyes do still look a little spooked!
I have an appt in the morning with my gyn to check out that little problem they found on my cat scan. They suspect it to be a benign cyst, and want to see if it shrunk. If it shrunk, I’m through with that chapter. If it’s the same or larger, I’m in for a biopsy.
My nephrologist appt is on the 12th. In the morning too. As a side note, no one has ever called me about those lab results...so I guess they really did intend for me to wait till that appt on the 12th. Whatever.
Oops, indeed. Hope she had all the stuff she needed for the presentation WITH her!
*snort*
You need to keep a box of Tension Tamer Tea at work. ;o)
LOL!
Pulse. I have to monitor my pulse because the medications I take can cause bradycardia (less than 60 beats per minute.) If it gets too slow I have to call the doctor.
What good that would do me I have no idea.
If I had to decide what to do with a patient in the hospital, I’d hold the medication (because I can’t adjust dosages.) I think I would probably just decrease my dose on myself because to quote Cartman “I can do what I want!”
My agency just called and told me that I might not work the entire shift...
:-/
Oh well, sumthin’s better than nuthin!
Got some. ;-)
Just could use something stronger today... :-\
Well, I’m off. See you guys in the morning, or early afternoon if I don’t have time to get on before my appt.
Speaking of stressful subjects - just beginning to think about this, and I’d appreciate any thoughts or advice. Not to mention prayers for wisdom...
The van feels bumpy again to me. And likely it’s all in my head, but it makes me nervous.
I just had a lot of work done to it, as you guys may recall. My first inclination is to drive it until I “get my money’s worth” out of that repair...but I’ve also been thinking that it’s getting to an age where the next part that wears out could render it more or less valueless. At the moment, it’s at a point where I could probably get a few thousand bucks out of it as a trade-in...that wouldn’t be the case if the transmission is the next thing to go, which could happen, ya know?
It’s been really, really nice not having a car payment, and I don’t want to do that, but I also am so afraid of something happening (almost certainly irrationally, but still, there it is) that I don’t go places and do things I’d like to do, because I don’t want to get stuck. The reality is that more than likely I could drive the thing across country again without an issue, but I still worry.
I’m starting to think maybe I should, relatively soon, trade the van in for a slightly newer, slightly lower mileage vehicle, most likely a boring little sedan as that’d be a lot cheaper than anything else. It’d be less convenient in some ways, but I’d feel more OK about, say, going to music stuff that’s not right in town...or even about parking in town, for that matter.
Discuss....
Sounds reasonable. You need a reliable car. I say go for it. :~)
I agree with yer nayber.
And besides, yer nabers have a truck...
