Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

It’s only 30 here (was 19 earlier). I’d hate to think what it is there...
Ha! That IS cute!! I’ll have to send that one to Clare. She’s always enjoyed Escher’s art.
Yeah, I’d love some of that Global Warming. It’s getting down to 4, count em, 4 degrees tonight! GAK! Thankfully, that’s the only night with single digits this week!
Actually I think we’re pretty close to that. It’s rumored that we may get 39 degrees this weekend.
We’re supposed to hit the 50s on Saturday. I’m hoping I can get some yard work done...
It’s 46 here.
Neener neener.
Drizzly and grey, though.
It’s 35 here. But it’s a dry cold.
More snow on the way tonight.
Oh. Hurrah.
Yeah, I know what you mean about getting a little tired of snow. Like here, only what, four or five years ago when it snowed. Yeesh, by that third day when it *finally* started to melt off... it had really gotten old.

It's a side effect of the linsinopril. I called the Doc the other day, but he wasn't in. I left a message, but he hasn't called back; not sure if he even got the message, but I'm going to call again. I'd like to know if I can reduce the dose by half. Maybe that would be enough to stop the cough. I asked the Pharmacist about it today, and he said that sometimes, after you've been on the med a few weeks, that it wears off. That may be. I'm not coughing nearly as much as I was two weeks ago, but I'd sure love not to have it at all!
Yes, I was on lisinopril for a while, but it didn’t help so they switched me to Diovan. It made me have that hacking cough too...but at the time I was running the really monstrous high BPs and remember thinking “At least I’m still alive to cough!” Heh heh!
They have me on Metoprolol 100mg twice a day and Diovan 320mg once a day and a catapres patch on my chest now.
Every time I think of it I can’t believe it. I went from perceiving myself as very healthy and fit to being medicated to the gills.
Off to get ready for work...see ya!
Looks like you’re hitting the green zone more often now, too! So that’s good.
Still hoping the nephrologist is able to help you...
In other accident newz...we were getting screwed again by insurance. They want to total the van. Bottom line is we can't replace it and she drives it for work. So I contacted an attorney friend. He's says we should expect to get the van fixed plus a considerable amount for pain and suffering. She was sore for a day, plus she just drove back from Northern Virginia and had a panic attack because of the traffic on I-95. Attorney has said "talk to no one else, I'll handle it."..so there's that...
*snort* Same here.
Good to have a friendly attorney! And tell Not Valerie I said to TAKE HER MEDS!
Speaking of that same friendly guy, he just told me to not talk about this anymore. So I’ll let y’all know how this all works out.
