The Hobbit Hole XXXV - ...is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

Posted on 01/03/2008 6:35:58 PM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Oh be still my beating heart.

If I send John McCain $100, I'll get a lapel pin.

How the $#@$ did I get on his email list?

If I send him 5 cents, will he promise to go away for the next eight months?

They make mini padlocks now that are acceptable to the TSA, because they have keys that can open them. Check online, or at a luggage shop. I have a couple of them, and if I remember right, they were small enough to lock together the zippers on a backpack, if it has the kind that has two zippers that meet in the middle as opposed to one that goes all the way across.

Yeah, I’ve found a couple of options like that. And it would work with the backpack I have.

In other news, we’ve gone from “partly cloudy” to “mostly cloudy and mostly raining” for tonight, so I’m guessing no eclipse. :-(

Whoa! I LOVE that Scotvest for women!! Kinda spendy, but it would be outstanding for touristy traveling cause you could keep your passport and credit card close, and that’s really all you need, right? Well, I’d also take a long the tiny, but expandable backpack I found in Japan to carry all that touristy stuff I’d be buying with the credit card. But until I needed that, it would fit just right in one of the larger pockets. ;o)

Woah... that’s cool. Hadn’t seen that before. Gotta have.

Beretta uses Exomesh in a line of shotgun, rifle, and handgun soft-side carrying cases, too.

Free Panda Express for lunch today. My fortune is one of the non-fortune types. Says “your best investment is in yourself.”

Does that mean I should go ahead and sign up for the guitar deal?

Hm...
