The Hobbit Hole XXXV - ...is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

Posted on 01/03/2008 6:35:58 PM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Laughing at the snorting Bay video from the other thread...

Ya know, though, when I was getting off the Interstate tonight, a little coyote ran across the ramp just in front of me. I had to brake. In broad daylight! So maybe it isn’t all in Bay’s head. He’s just looking in the wrong direction is all. ;-)

Well done. It is (or was) a great little town. It’s been a ~ few ~ years since we’ve been there.

Well, I hit him hard, right between the eyes,
And he went down, but to my surprise,
He come up with a knife and he cut off a piece of my ear!
But I busted a chair right across his teeth
And we crashed through the wall and into the street
A'kicking and a'gouging in the mud and the blood and the beer.

It’s like an episode of House! More than one person has suggested I contact the producers!

Steve and I love House.

I don’t think living an episode of House is necessarily a good thing...seems like they generally all but kill the patient before they figure anything out...

I’m playing with music recording. Mostly it’s just proving that I’m rusty, but I have a very nice sounding guitar. ;-)

What makes you think something happened? ;-)

Mrs. was on her way to appointments in Hampton Roads and was in an accident on the Interstate. She’s okay. But she was hit from behind. Knocked the bumper off the van and dented the door. But it’s driveable.

She was able to stop in time as were the two cars behind her. But the fourth car couldn’t and manged to swerve in and out and hit all three.

Aw, geez... Glad she wasn’t hurt, at least!

On the bright side...does this mean 2Js finally gonna learn what’s going on?

Talon’s car didn’t start this morning.

Very fortunately, he got home first last night so it was not blocking my car and we did not have to push it out of the driveway in -10 weather with an inch of ice on the road. So it could have been worse.

Heh! Right!

Glad she wasn’t hurt though...whew!

Good morning. I got up too early. Wanted to watch the shuttle land online. It was great. Miraculous, it almost seems to me.

I think I might lay back down for a while!
