The Hobbit Hole XXXV - ...is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

Posted on 01/03/2008 6:35:58 PM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Well, if I have a pheochromocytoma, that would explain my hollering. It releases massive amounts of fight or flight hormone.

It’s really unusual for me, too. I generally don’t have nightmarish dreams, and when I do they’re more of the just wierd sort, not the terrorizing sort.

But this one I still recall after it woke me up, and clearly. Big mountain lion. I saw him way across a valley, and he saw me and turned to follow. I was cursing that I had no gun, no knife... nuthin’. He came running and just as he jumped I charged him with a gawdawful yell and woke up swinging so hard that it sat me right up and onto my feet beside the bed. Scared the crap outta me. Can’t say how relieved I was to wake up. :-)

We just stood outside for several minutes to see if we could catch the decaying satellite as it went over us. Unfortunately, it decided to cloud up tonight, so we missed it. :o( They’re supposed to try to blow it up later tonight (or vey early tomorrow) when it’s out over the Pacific Ocean, well north of Hawaii.

Well...at least you have a referral, huh? :-\ Seems like they took a long time to do that. Nephrologist sounds like a good bet. Do you have an appointment made?

Take it easy!

My Outlook pst file went from 1.4 Gigs before to 365 MB after compacting. I think that’s something I should do more often than every 8 years. ;~)

Rosie... thanks for knowing that’s what it needed!

What’s not to like about that region? ‘Great Smokey Mountains’ - Gatlinburg - Ashevile - Blue Ridge Parkway...

Was that your alter ego?

Ward was a friend of mine. He was martyred in the religion wars in the early part of the 21st century.

Well, it was Gatlinburg in mid-July
And I just hit town and my throat was dry,
I thought I'd stop and have myself a brew.
At an old saloon on a street of mud,
There at a table, dealing stud,
Sat the dirty, mangy dog that named me "Sue."

Oh they’re tame now compared to the early years when the forums were first separated.

Ha! We'll check the Heavens Above and NASA websites to see what they're saying about it.
