The Hobbit Hole XXXV - ...is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

Posted on 01/03/2008 6:35:58 PM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Actually those sound like the fixings for an ice cream social.

heh, the full depth cabinets work pretty good if you’re over six feet tall but otherwise...

Search and Destroy missions ~ can ~ be an adventure.

Good Luck.

Well, I’m six-two, but the Mrs. is about five-four.

It’s okay that I threw away ~last year’s~ Valentine candy, isn’t it?

Hmmm. See about getting some roll out shelves. I know they sell them at Lowe’s, and probably at Home Despot, too. That way you won’t ‘lose’ what’s back there. That’s what my sister, Brenda, had installed in her kitchen. We had a pantry cabinet that was 2’ deep, but it had a ‘spin-around’ installed in it so that the shelves rotated so you could see what’s on all sides.

Nope - put it on a plate and leave it in the coffee-break room at Fanghorn.

Trail mix (admitted, not your average trail mix). Check

Watergate salad. Check.

Seven layer bars. Check (in the oven)

Problem is, I still can’t fit all this stuff back into the pantry...

Update.

Yesterday afternoon, after I logged off for the day, my doctor’s nurse called. She said to stop the second med they put me on in the hospital and started me on another (still in addition to the first one.)

She is also going to refer me to a specialist. Didn’t say what kind but I suspect they’re going to send me to a cardiologist.

BP today was 184/122 last time I checked. I’d been laying on the floor watching TV. Heart rate was 56.

The guys are gone, so I’m able to freep a bit. Joshua’s regional pinewood derby is today. He won first place two weeks ago in the one for just our church only.

This is Matthew’s first year not to do it, since he’s not in RAs anymore...he’s a “yute”.

Keep taking care of yourself 2J. :~)

We had the horse shoer here today, then we cleaned off the roof, then we got a wild Hair to go get some good steaks in town and grill ‘em.

So there’s that.

It's pouring outside here.

Becky was by yesterday and we had a great long visit. It was good to have her company! She gave me this little figurine! So sweet! I put it in my china cabinet.
