The Hobbit Hole XXXV - ...is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

Posted on 01/03/2008 6:35:58 PM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Sounds like a blown heater core

That maybe what it was, it was a while ago. And, as much as I loved that car, it's not my problem anymore. We donated it away.

Heh...yer evil.

If she didn’t have dial-up, we could give her a link to video of the Tacoma Narrows bridge collapse...that should do it!

You need to get some Celestial Seasonings Tension Tamer Tea! It works great!

Hmmm. I had not considered the SBR option. I will have to think about that. Of course as long as you are doing the paperwork ya might as well go for the 're-lengthening accessory'. Worth considering at least. hmmmm

I made this last night. Quick easy and delish.

Easy Banana Nut Cake

Beat together till smooth:
4 ripe medium sized bananas.
3 large eggs
1 stick of melted butter
1 tsp vanilla

Add 1 pkg of yellow “Butter recipe” cake mix and mix till smooth.

Fold in a half a cup of chopped nuts of your choice. I used walnuts. I think it needed more nuts.

Pour into two well-greased 9” loaf pans or make cupcakes. (I used a bundt pan.)

Bake for 45 minutes or until a knife comes out clean at 350 degrees.

I have some! It’s good stuff.

I think the dry indoor air is just getting to me or something. I borrowed some sinus stuff from someone yesterday and it seemed to help, but it may just be a headache.

Do you have any lowish carb bran muffin recipes? Hoping to make those in another week... I will be so sick of omelets for breakfast by then...

Can I go home and write?

I haven’t exactly made the progress I’d hoped for...but at least things are moving. And I have a scene I want to finish right now...

I made these when I first got the oven. They're fantastic. Betcha you could replace the sugary parts with something lower carb, like Splenda. I also added some cinnamon.

Did enough of that last weekend for the birthday. But that’s on the list again for Friday.

I’ve written maybe two thousand words this month. It’s been very painful progress. But I am getting closer and closer to the end.
