The Hobbit Hole XXXV - ...is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
Posted on 01/03/2008 6:35:58 PM PST by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

3:10 to Yuma I enjoyed it. Its got the sort of ending that really pisses yah off. Which, I suppose, was part of the mission of the film.

I agree! and... that was a curious grouping of professions of the people on that helicopter... oh, and, I don't think Locke ever recovered his knife from Naomi's back. :-/

Lost is at 9:00?
What network?

Do you think Ben has the knife?

I am no McCainiac, but some FReepers are WAY over the top. Pushed the ABUSE button on a poster calling for murder! Jeeze!

Murder? Yuck.
Now, I have this little daydream about a bolt of lightning when the two candidates shake hands before the first debate...

It’s on channel 4, whichever network that is. If’n you didn’t see last week’s episode, that’s on at 8. New one on at 9.
Oh, and we’re planning on buying Rush tickets tomorrow. Interested in going with us?

To: Corin Stormhands
Oh! Well, no, I don't think he does... I think he was tied to the tree the whole time, then Naomi ran off... I don't think he was ever near enough to her to get the knife.
To: ecurbh; Ramius
*blink* It's on ABC.
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Yeah, you’re probably right.

Just saw another music video for Lost, this one featuring Jack, set to the tune of "Bad Case of Loving You" ("Doctor, doctor, give me the news...")
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Darn, I left the TV on to catch that (I don’t want to get involved in watching Eli Stone).
To: Corin Stormhands
Actually, "Eli Stone" hasn't been that bad. But, I doubt it will last more than a few episodes. It's a little too quirky.

To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Yeah, I don’t have anything against it other than not wanted to be committed to another show.
To: Ramius
The tickets are purchased and on their way. The Rush is on.

It would have been so nice if they'd gotten together, then headed off with the Rangers or something. But I guess they weren't looking for a romantic storyline. It was hilarious, though, when Ivanova was recounting having heard Marcus saying "I love you", and her thinking, as she heard him in her coma, that it was God speaking in a British accent, like she remembered from old movies. ;o)
That last episode of Season 4 was interesting, watching the media trying to 'deconstruct' Sheridan, DeLenn and the new Alliance. Didn't it sound like the media, today? And then DeLenn actually showing up, just after the panel had made the comment on camera that the story of her long life was probably just a myth to make the Alliance seem like something wonderful. LOL! It was great!
David told us that Season 5 wasn't as good, but we'll get the first disc of that tomorrow, so we'll find out.
