McCain's lifetime ACU rating is 82 - dozens of points higher than the nearest "conservative Democrat."

Yea, but his rating for 2006 is 65. That's a big difference. I have a feeling it'll be similar or lower when the '07 numbers come out...

Sadly, this McCain resurgence shows the kind of power the MSM has in this country.

McCain has his head firmly “imbedded” in his butt.

Rush is going to have to step in here.

That's right.

You should do whatever he tells you.

Normal people are only dogs in comparison to the holy Limbaugh.

Do I really need a sarcasm tag?

You are welcome to hold that view. But one voter does not make an entire independent caucus.

“but he will pull a lot of independents, and conservative democrats.”

That’s what I call a walk. ;-)

McCain altered his platform to conform with more moderate Republicans, but you can’t really trust him to stick with it. He still refuses to admit that opposing the Bush tax cuts was a mistake. He won’t say that his amnesty bill was a mistake, either. He justs says that it didn’t pass, so he has to try something else. His campaign finance reform was a bill aimed at disenfranchising the grassroots conservatives, whom McCain blamed for his 2000 loss. His gang of 14 was another maneuver that was aimed at weakening the conservative Republicans.

Basicly, McCain is king of the RINOS.

You Huckabee supporters are going overboard trying to impugn Rush. Rush is not just some entertainer. He is on the front lines of the Conservative movement and has been for over 20 years.

Not only is Huck a deceitful lying phony but some of his supporters seem to be too. You are at least the second one I have caught today.

i would hope all non Huck supporters pay very close attention to what his supporters are saying and doing. Clinton and Huckabee use the exact same tactics only one has the gall to invoke the name of Jesus Christ at all times while the other only did it when he was in trouble or caught lying.

My top issues are the GWOT, Iraq, fiscal responsibility, judges, pro-life, and secure the border (which McCain has committed to doing).

Basically you made a statement that wasn’t true and I pointed it out.

It will be a cold day in hell before I could vote for someone who was photographed smiling while sitting next to Hillary Clinton!

My guess is that Rush doesn’t much care for Romney or Giuliani because neither one is really conservative, but he is willing to hold his nose and support them over a Democrat. I think that he would have trouble even supporting Huckabee or McCain. It would be difficult to find anything good to say about either one.

T1b8zs, you can now join another pain-in-the-posterior who has been living in LA, LA land too long.

Left-coast movie critic and talk show host, Michael Medved, just came out for McCain, too. He was also having a goregasm this afternoon over the new group of well-known RINOS and DemoRats who are joining billionaire Michael Bloomberg's call for a "new bipartisanship" party and an alternative to our present electoral system. But that's another subject, although you can count on McCain to join such a movement if he loses out in the coming weeks.

Michael Madhed also shares the same position as McCain on illegal immigration as well as other RINO positions.

And you've been here for over two years, t1b8zs........why?

Sometimes I wonder why my head doesn't explode. Reason plus the fantastic political information on this site means nothing any more to some folks.

It appears we are watching the advent of freepers with a new hybrid brand of conservatism, that's for sure.

No, you didn’t point out anything except that Republicans can’t trust McCain.

I don’t like McCain much. He’s an egomaniac and he’s wrong on a lot of issues.

But he’s the most electable guy we’ve got, he’s night and day more conservative than Giuliani, and he isn’t running for first Pastor like Huckabee.

Take what you can get.

There was no flip flop on Roe. He made one statement on one day in 1999 and reneged on it the very next day as a misspeak. He is firmly against Roe.
