Is he aligned with the Democrats on the GWOT? On Iraq? On spending? On earmarks? On S.S. and Medicare reform? On the right to life? On vouchers? On affirmative action? On gay “marriage”? Just where exactly is he aligned with Democrats on other than the 3 or 4 pet hot button issues that are incessantly trotted out?

Time and again, McCain has shown that he will suck up to the media and their favored positions and throw conservatives over the transom. That’s the explanation for things like amnesty, opposition to tax cuts, global warming alarmism, McCain-Feingold, etc etc. The man has no principles at all. The media pays him back by lauding his independence and he gets some fawning coverage. But, get real. When he is up against a real dem, he isn’t going to get any favorable treatment. He’ll just be old, short tempered and corrupt.

A Romney administration would be identical to a Hillary administration so why bother voting.

Doubt that; for all of Bill's faults (and there's a boat load of them), he turned his back on many of the causes of the liberal darlings. Romney would sign them - faced with the choice of Romney or Hillary, I'd vote for Hillary.

If McCain is the pubbie nominee, the Dims will win.

Someone pops into the threads and says this about every GOP candidate except their own.

We don’t need Rush to think for us!

He is the best entertainer, but that is where I draw the line on him telling me who to vote for.

He aligns himself with whom ever is holding a camera. He and his fellow senator Feingold birthed SOROS and a Hillry nomination. He smeared the military with his two year old temper tantrum demanding a joke of NON-torture legislation. The man is as self obsessed with the I AM complex as Hillry is on the front side.

Hope you are right, but all I am seeing and hearing is McCain surge, etc. etc. etc. Right now he has leaped nationally into the lead in several polls including Rasmussen and in the latest NH polls he is creaming the Mittster.

“I just can not for the life of me understand the insanity that is going on the the Republican Party where folks who claim they are conservatives somehow arrive at supporting liberals for president. No conservative should support McCain, Romney, Guiliani, or Huckabee.”

I’m an independent and I wouldn’t vote for McCain for any reason.

“Not sure where he is with Giuliani.”

One thing is for sure...Rush is not as apoplectic over a possible Guiliani nomination as folks are around here....LOL

Frankly, I wish we could all get it together as a party and vote for Duncan Hunter, but it looks pretty hopeless at this point.
