Jan. 1st will fall on a Tuesday!
I predict the freepathon will start this week.
Mitt Romney will be elected the 44th President of the United States?
Patriots win the superbowl?
Please, tell me you’re not really very good at predictions...please?...must..find...Prilosec...
Someone will type “Bush’s fault” every day.
Wonder whether Taiwan will do something around the Olympics. Hopefully the United States will win the most gold medals and medals in general. Otherwise, media from around the world may crow about the second placement as an early sign of American decline.
Professor Trelawney sez... “You are in grave danger!”
Of Possble Interest Ping!
On the Democrat side, Hillary chooses Bill Richardson. Election is decided by Ohio, which flips to the Dems due to low turnout among social conservatives in the southern part of the state. Dems take the white house, and are up +1 in the Senate, +6 in the house.
McDonald's announces "Green Meals" produce from low methane emitting cows.
Clemenza remains unmarried. His plans for world domination must also be put off for another year. :-(
The Mets are in first place for most of the year, but falter down the stretch. Even though the Yankees are in the second division for most of the year, the NY media concentrates on the Fags in Pinstripes, while ignoring the Mets yet again. The Mets, of course, crash like a house of cards in September.
Financial stocks bottom out (BUYING OPPORTUNITY!), while housing does not, especially in Arizona, Florida, and Nevada.
The state of New Jersey increases the income tax and fails yet again to reform property taxes. Corzine pushes yet again for stem cell funding. His approval rating remains high.
New York City is beset with another homeless crisis, as the Homeless Commission fails yet again to reach a contract agreement with shelter management. More homeless people disturb Clemenza and his dates as the attempt to eat dinner al fresco in the West Village. Clemenza refuses to give in to their demands, while the kindly Southern couple next to him gives the bum a $20.
States continue to enforce laws on the hiring of illegals locally, driving the illegals either back home or to other states. Self-deportation strongest among South Americans, though not as strong among Mexicans due to closer ties with the US.
Economic populism fails yet again as a political issue, although national health care again rises as an issue, particularly as the newsmedia features daily stories about mommies who must whore themselves out for Ritalin for their children.
Moronic children continue to play with their Wiis/Iphones, bully the less fortunate on Myspace, and annoy the hell out of their elders by listening to the latest hip hop smash: "Souljah Boy is My Be-Otch."
As the murder rate skyrockets in the ghettos of our nations cities, the usual suspects attempt another round of gun control laws within said cities in defiance of state law. In Pennsylvania, Governor Rendell allows Philly to limit locations where law abiding, concealed carry permit holders can carry, effectively making said city a gun free zone. As a result, Philly remains the city of "Brothers Killing Eachother" and the crime spreads to the affluent in Center City. Other municipalities in Florida and in Missouri try this, but are spanked down by their state courts.
No retirements from the Supreme Court in 2008, as both Ruth Bader Ginsberg and Antonin Scalia wait for 2009 when a new president is sworn in.
A major morning daily newspaper folds. Under Newscorp ownership, the Wall Street Journal goes downhill as it shifts its front page coverage from business to "missing rich pretty white teenager" stories under new editor Greta Van Susteren.
For the first time since statistics were kept, more native-born Americans leave Florida than move there. Moreover, immigrants continue to bypass the sunshine state for North Carolina and other "welcoming" states with low real estate costs (and no driver's license restrictions).
I predict I will meet a nice lady, we will hit it off, and we’ll have a beee-yoooooooootiful relationship.
Well, I can dream, can’t I?
The iPhone will be hugely popular next year as the price drops, especially among teens/tweens.
The price of crude will not fall below $80 a barrel, and if there is any major political, military, or paramilitary shock, crude may hit $125 a barrel.
Due to a continued devaluation of the US dollar, a continued flood of foreign cash will continue to finance gov’t deficits. If the interest rate rises as a result of gov’t deficits, a continued flood of foreign cash will continue to finance gov’t deficits.
I guess what I’m trying to say is, a continued flood of foreign cash will continue to finance US gov’t deficits.
The Dhimmicrats’ move to Alternative Minimum Tax relief will be the only income tax relief we’re going to see in 2007 and 2008.

Momaw Nadon:Mitt Romney will be the 2008 Republican Presidential nominee. Hillary Clinton will be the 2008 Democratic Presidential nominee... Mitt Romney will be elected the 44th President of the United States. The election will be extremely close.I agree with all three of those. I'd add that I think the Pubbie VP will be someone from the midwest, maybe Illinois -- because Hillary isn't going to be winning over anyone the way she's been acting toward Osama, oops, I mean Obama. If Mitt misses the nomination for president, I think he'll wind up on the ticket in the VP slot. One way or the other, Mitt will be on the ticket. Rudy will be tapped to campaign for the ticket in California, so he'd better watch his mouth in the meantime.
Momaw Nadon:I predict the New England Patriots will win the Superbowl... There will be riots across China during the 2008 Olympics. Smog in Beijing will oppress the athletes. The Boston Red Sox will NOT win the World Series.I'm not going to make any sports predictions, but two of those sound plausible. :')
Momaw Nadon:Microbial life will be found on Mars. It's already been found.
Momaw Nadon:An earthquake above 7.0 will strike California.I think there'll be a quake affecting Greece, epicenter either on land, or offshore resulting in big waves.
Momaw Nadon:Fidel Castro will officially be pronounced dead.I predict that the death of Fidel Castro will be announced at least five times on FR, long before it actually happens. I mean, at least five *more* times. ;')
Momaw Nadon:Dow Jones will be above 15,000 at the end of 2008.Quite agree, as long as the interest rates are stable, the 30 will continue upward. What is the number now?
Momaw Nadon:Windows Vista will be greatly improved by Service Pack 1 which will be released in early March. Why, is there anything wrong with WV? [innocent look]
Momaw Nadon:A major Supreme Court decision will uphold an individual's right to keep and bear arms.I think there are two possible outcomes to the case that is going to be heard; one is, a deeply divided court (meaning, the four gun-grabbers will dissent) will issue a ruling upholding the 2nd amendment, or a muddled consensus ruling that says nothing and have to be sorted out later. No chance that the court will gut the 2nd.
