Women Charged With Sexually Assaulting UNC Football Players

Hillsborough — Three UNC football players were the victims in a kidnapping, robbery and sexual assault incident involving two women, the university confirmed Thursday afternoon.

Chapel Hill police said the assault happened about 3:30 a.m. Sunday at an apartment complex in Chapel Hill where all three victims were bound with tape and then assaulted by the suspects.

At a bond hearing Thursday, Orange County Assistant District Attorney Morgan Whitney said police arrived at the scene and found two of the victims, tied up, in boxer shorts. The third victim was fully clothed with his hands tied.

At least two were sexually assaulted, Whitney said. He is still waiting on the final police report to see if the third man was also. None of the victims required medical attention.

"I am relieved that the players were not injured," UNC head coach Butch Davis said in a prepared statement Thursday. "We will assist them in any way we can."

Prosecutors said the victims met the suspects – Monique Jenice Taylor, Tnikia Monta Washington and Michael Troy Lewis – at a downtown bar and that they all went back to the victims' apartment to hang out.

Whitney said that at a certain point, Lewis was standing naked in a hallway with a knife and later put it to one of the victims' necks.

Taylor then pulled off the victim's pants, pushed him down on a bed, attempted to tie his hands with his belt and started to fondle him against his consent.

Men CAN be raped. Its not that unusual. And its still a crime to force you have sex with someone when you don't to have sex with them.

Consider that if one of these women gets pregnant by one of the (wealthy) football players, the player might be judged liable for child support.

And for people joking about it being a nice time for the guys: what would you think of some stinking skank forcing you to give her oral sex under threat of violence?

The title does not include the fact that the players were assaulted by two women AND a MAN with a KNIFE.

The MAN was the one that held a knife to the victims and then assaulted the victims. The women assisted the male in the assault when the victims fought back.

This was not, as the headline indicates, an attack by two women on some wimpy football players. The victims could have very easily ended up dead in that apartment with their throats cut.

At the very least the guys could have said, "BTW, I'm HIV positive."

I have to wonder if this could be some sort of payback for something these players did previously to one of the young women or one of their female friends. It's not clear that the two groups were complete strangers to each other. Seems odd that 2 women and one man could overpower 3 male college football players, even if the male assailant had a knife. And then there's this little nugget: "Initially, the victim welcomed the sexual advances, but once Taylor started fondling him, he said no, [Assistant DA]Whitney said. Taylor's attorney, Glenn Gerding, said the fondling was consensual." I'm trying to picture all this going down as described. One football player is being involuntarily "fondled" by one of the women, who had "attempted" to tie his hands (but apparently not succeeded), while the male assailant keeps him under control with a knife to his throat. So that leaves one woman and 2 big strong male college players doing what? Sounds like there was a LOT of alcohol involved on both sides, and it'll be a wonder if any of them can accurately recall the details of what happened.

On the other hand, take a look at the photos of those women. These Div I college football players, who presumably don't have a whole lot of trouble finding cute girls to service them sexually, apparently went to a bar, picked up these two women along with their male friend, invited the trio back to their apartment, and per the Asst DA, at least one of the victims initially "welcomed the sexual advances" from one of the women".
