It's the most wonderful time of the year...With my Utes winning bowl games and BYU losing so I'll be of good cheer...it's the most wonderful time of the year...
--Ow! Tomatoes hurt you know. Sheesh...
During the regular season, I would normally do my fancy and mildly humorous graphical elements and those of you who would like me to feature their school's games, I would oblige. However, since we've got miles to go before we sleep, I'll re-ping the list as we go along and include said graphics. Sound like a deal? Excellent.
Tomorrow the fun will begin. (For me, at least). :)
For the 100th time, if this season’s results don’t scream PLAYOFF, I don’t know what does.
So ILL gets a turnover, but no points.
The Score was already tied at 7 by the time I dragged myself out of bed. At least we kept up our end for the SEC.
Today was an embaressment for the SEC.
This seems to be the norm each year. All that talk about how slow and awful the Big Ten is every year, and the percentages of the past decade and beyond are that the Big Ten wins more match ups every year.
If not for the non called cheap shots of the Tennessee convicts they lose that one today as well.
Ohio State's mail in last year was the "outlier". The perfect storm as the Bucks read their own press clippings too much and forgot they actually had to play the game to win. I doubt that they will do that again this year.
Those Dodge commercials are making me sick. Good grief.
One more SC score and I’m out.
The Rose Bowl: widely considered to be the game that’s preventing some sort of playoff system from happening. Although the real truth of it is a lot more complicated, it’s a big reason why, IMO.
I probably watched more of the hockey game than our game. Watching our defense made me physically ill, so I'd switch to hockey when Michigan had the ball.
And also the PAC 10 as well, they want to keep “the tradition” going.
UF is pretty young this year on the defensive side of the ball though, right? The way many of the Gator fans were talking on the ESPN and FOX message boards, they were going to be inexperienced on defense.
What's funny about that is I could actually see Urban doing that. :)
I would not either place any bets but, OSU could end up “suprising” LSU bigtime. Plus with the winning game by its hated rival, UM, it could give encouragement to OSU.
Would not suprise me if Coach Urban is doing just that, having the players walk home to Gainville after being humilated bigtime. :)
WOOHOO! Just got home from a game watching party! Never count the Red Raiders out.
But, I need some cardiac meds now!!!
...How true, the defensive side is still weak because of the large number of players being young. Give them the rest of the winter and into the spring, with enough training, they will be a force to deal with, the Gators. I got to see today D.J. Henendez’s younger brother play today. He played good for a first year player. Glad ABC mentioned the fact that older brother played for UConn and that he is from Bristol, CT. You are right, UConn has gotten new found respect for its football program. :)
Goes to show that TT can be a supriser. :)
Congrats. :)
I'm by no means a sports expert, but if Texas Tech was picked to win by 6 over Virginia, for example, why was Virginia ranked 20th and TTU unranked? None of this makes any sense.
One that the present Illinois team needs because they are struggling bigtime.
The AP Top 25 to provide one example, isn't just one person's opinion, but the combined polling of several dozen or so sportswriters and pundits. Here is the list of the eternally wise ones who vote in the AP poll
Holy cow that was a great run by Rashard Mendenhall. If you’re New England and you want to take a RB with the pick you got from SF, does Mendenhall enter into the discussion, as I believe he will enter the draft this year?
Illinois is showing some fire, but that fumble in the end zone just hurt bigtime. The Illini need to stop USC right here — if SC goes down and scores it is game over.
