**Ladies and Gentlemen...it's the FR College Football 2007-08 Bowl Games Thread**
Posted on 12/19/2007 1:19:19 PM PST by GOP_Raider
It's the most wonderful time of the year...With my Utes winning bowl games and BYU losing so I'll be of good cheer...it's the most wonderful time of the year...
--Ow! Tomatoes hurt you know. Sheesh...
During the regular season, I would normally do my fancy and mildly humorous graphical elements and those of you who would like me to feature their school's games, I would oblige. However, since we've got miles to go before we sleep, I'll re-ping the list as we go along and include said graphics. Sound like a deal? Excellent.
Tomorrow the fun will begin. (For me, at least). :)

When I attended the Louisville game a friend of mine told me someone he knew in the football program informed him UConn is working on a home and home series with Boston College starting next year and is also working on a game against Notre Dame at Giants StadiumBoth would be great scheduling moves for UConn.

Wake leads 14-10, great pass by Skinner to Tereshinski or however he spells his name.

ESPN had mentioned that Edsall earlier this month said “I’m staying” but taking his name out of consideration for the Georgia Tech job.
Put up your four fingers kids, one quarter left in the season for the Huskies...

Much as I have to give a ton of respect to Wake and their defensive effort in the 2nd half, it’s was a little sad to see UConn lose. It was a lot of fun getting to know UConn football this season. Hope you two enjoyed it as much as I did.

I could not believe Wake Forest ends up owning UConn during the second half. Everything and I mean everything had gone UConn’s way during the first half. I have to wonder what happened during the second half. This is a disapointing end to a wonderful fall season and ride for the University of Connecticut football, Coach Randy Esdell, the staff and the team. Plus I do add the fan base in which both Man50D and I as members. This is not what I wanted for the senior players to go out with, but they with the rest of the team put in the very best effort, but came up short. At least for those who will be returning, may it be a learning experence for sucess in the future. UConn, football, I will always be supportive of you. Thanks GOP_Raider for your support. Will be posting here still until the last bowl is played. For one last time I say: GO UCONN HUSKIES!!!! =^..^=

Yeah, you hate to see a season end like that. But I think UConn fans and alumni can hold their heads up high and now America realizes that "huh, so they aren't just a basketball school". :)
So go fly your flag high and remember the great season that was.

Except for IU football and Tim Tebow, the rest of college football belongs under ‘women’s sports’.

Too bad the Insight Bowl is on NFL Network, otherwise we'd get to see
Erin Andrews again. :) That was a great ending to the IU/Purdue game this year though, wasn't it?

I geuss no sons of former NFL players will be going to UCLA soon. Neuheusal was a replacement player during the football strike of 1987.
I believe that Kelon Winslow's son was headed to Washington till they hired Neuheisal adnd then they changed their mind to went to Miami.
To: Man50D
is also working on a game against Notre DameScheduling weak teams for easy victories isn't going to help build their reputation.

Thank-you for your support GOP_Raider. :)
At least now the rest of America knows that CT is more then just basketball. Also since UWV is going through what could be a time of turmoil and transition, UConn could end up next year very much in the number 1 spot. At least now we have the respect we so richly deserve. :)

Kellen Winslow Jr. always struck me as a kid with a major attitude problem. I guess I hadn’t realized that he almost went to “U-Dub”

Yeah, I saw it. He had that I have ties older than this little punk look on his face, it was classic. It also kind of reminded me of that SNL sketch where the late actor portraying Frank Sinatra had Frank saying, "I got pieces of guys like you in my stool!"
