My Dragonfly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

You know, deer aren’t as stupid as they look. Apparently they’d rather starve than get shot.
I live with the wild animals among many miles of state forest, town forest, and federal conservation land. No hunting allowed. Even the coyotes haven’t dented the deer herd.

They’d dig if there was something they liked. Besides, they were munching on stuff they didn’t like before the snow fell.

Rutting is a good thought. It’s just that snow has begun early and they’re already eating things they don’t like.
And believe me, I know what they like. Top of their list is whatever I spent money on. Which I don’t anymore, obviously.
When the big buck got killed on the road last winter I thought the herd would dwindle or move on but it’s just as big as ever with at least six of them.

“This deer does look thin.”
Just think of it as the new all-natural ICE diet

Hubby wants to know why you are training those hawks to eat fish!
(seriously, I wouldn’t buy any expensive fish to feed the hawks with, either. I know bald eagles surely love carp. Didn’t know redtails did)

Agreed. I began buying feeder fish which are small goldfish for feeding to larger pets. Generally they’re 10 for a dollar and I buy a load of them every year.
No hunting here or I’d be having redtail stew.

MORE GOOD NEWS!!
Dark Chocolate Makes Your Heart's Blood Flow
Linda von Wartburg
9 December 2007
Recommend this Article:
Not at all Somewhat Moderately Highly Very Highly
It's really true: dark chocolate makes your coronary arteries open up and increases heart blood flow. In a two-week trial, 39 adults ate either 550 milligrams per day of dark chocolate (with a cocoa content of 70 percent or greater), which is full of flavonoids, or the same amount of white chocolate, which has no flavonoids.
By the end of the study, the coronary flow velocity reserve (CFVR) of the dark chocolate eaters had significantly improved. If you want the same health effect, remember to go easy on the chocolate: 550 milligrams is only about 0.0194 of an ounce.

A gram is 3.5 oz of Lindt Excellence 85% dark chocolate.
This means that YOU COULD EAT FIVE SQUARES or half package A DAY!

The package is 7 1/2" x 3 1/2" and your MDR (MIMIMUM daily REQUIREMENT) for heart health is half that.

I am feeding raccoons cat food along with the usual sunflower seeds because one was lame and I feared he might not make it for awhile.
.I know managed herd thinning is essential to keep some deer from starving.Better a meal on someone’s table with a quick shot than starving to death.
I couldn’t shoot a deer..though if they were destroying my landscape plants..I might feel like it! My dad went deer hunting.

Go to the seedy part of the city . . .
No. Kidding.
I get my fix at the pharmacy. It’s actually on the candy counter if you can believe that!
Some supermarkets carry Lindt but sometimes the less than 70% stuff with more sugar and less flavonoids. If you know what you’re looking for, it’s easier to find, hence the photo above.
